1 Scope
This General Engineering Specification (GES), agreed within thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, applies to the
design and construction of industrial and chemical plants. It contains minimum requirements for the design of
steel structures.

This document is only valid in conjunction with document CSA Design Criteria (GES-CVC-01), the referred
standard drawings as per table 2 and the codes and standards as per table 3.
