Problem :

Global renewable capacity is rising rapidly. And a lot of this capacity is now being coupled
with battery storage and DG-sets (in case of Industrial and commercial installations) and
also with EV charging stations. With the rise in electric vehicles, declining battery costs ,
such integrated systems are only going to rise exponentially. And so are the challenges that
come with synchronising them. We are developing smart energy management systems that
can not only synchronise multiple sources and loads of power but can also optimise the
operation (example deciding battery charging and discharging times, PV export limits etc.
based on time of use tariff, battery capacity and expected PV generation) in order to reduce
the overall electricity costs for the end user.

Business solution:

Business Model :
We will be working directly with Solar EPC’s and Charge point operators. And there will three
main sources of revenue :
- Direct sales (one time revenue) : From providing the solution to operators
- Maintenance costs : for large installations (above 200kW) there will be an annual
maintenance charge for the system hardware and software components
- Software charges : The customer can opt for their own cloud solutions for integration
or they can use our cloud solution for remote monitoring and control of the plants.

Competitive advantage :
Team : Our team has past experience in building solutions for renewable integration for
Indian, American and European markets. We have an understanding of the industry and
what kind of problems are present in the market, and contacts with solar EPC’s, charge point
operators to whom we can market the product directly.

Technical : Our smart energy management not only synchronises with various sources of
power, but also provides optimum operation of various resources for total energy costs
reduction. It can control the total power at the feeder allowing users to limit how much power
they want to import or export from the grid.

Problem :
Global renewable capacity is rising rapidly. And a lot of this capacity is
now being coupled with battery storage and DG-sets (in case of
Industrial and commercial installations). When several such of energy
generation equipments are integrated together it is called Hybrid energy
systems. Hybrid energy systems has several use cases, it can be
utilized in grid-connected mode, isolated from grid, or special aims.
There are several challenges associated with hybrid energy systems due
to which they are not utilized efficiently and a lot of energy is getting
wasted. Therefore, a energy management strategy is significant for
improving the system’s performance and utlization.

Business solution:

We are developing AI-based smart energy management solutions for residential, commercial
and Industrial power systems. The solution allows synchronisation of multiple sources and
loads for optimal functioning of hybrid energy systems and further reduces the overall
electricity costs for the end user. We provide hardware based real time controllers that
optimise all critical parameters in real-time to create the
utilises AI to

most energy-efficient system possible. As per research, s mart EMS under

time of use tariffs can reduce electricity bills by 20-30% over the savings with PV only
systems with smart EMS. Our solution creates a controlled and connected network of all
sorts of power applications. Our product is also compliant with both OCPP and Modbus
which allows us to synchronise EV charging with our system. Hence, the hybrid energy
system can vary from as simple as solar only to complex systems that include EV charging
points, DG-set and battery storage.

Business Model :
We plan to operate in a B2B model and work directly with Solar EPCs and Electric Vehicle
Charge point operators (CPOs). There will two main sources of revenue:
- Direct sales (one time revenue) : From providing the solution to operators. The
customer can either opt for their own cloud solutions for integration or they can use
our cloud solution for remote monitoring and control of the plants.

- Maintenance costs : For large installations (above 200kW) there will be an annual
maintenance charge for the system hardware and software components

We are aiming to have ~1000 installations by the end of 2025. We are expecting a revenue
of $1M by direct sales by the end of 2025.
Competitive advantage :

We are well-positioned to enter the market with considerable

product differentiation.

Product differentiation:
1. Power import and export: Currently provided solutions don’t have any upper or
lower limit for the power transfer to the grid. It will either transfer the total available
power or not transfer at all. We provide flexibility to autoset the limit which allows
efficient transfer of power within the system including the grid
2. Ramp rate control: Our system prevents sudden surge of power from the grid side in
case of sudden changes in load or PV production thus ensuring stable operation of
the system
3. System expansion: Once a system is installed it is very hard to synchronise newly
added source/ load with the existing system and is also not commercially feasible
with the existing solutions. With our solution it is easily attainable
4. Electricity bill reduction: Our system allows the users who are using the existing
solution to reduce the electricity bill

Expertise : Our team has past experience in building solutions for renewable integration for
Indian, American and European markets. We have an understanding of the industry and
what kind of problems are present in the market, and contacts with solar EPC’s, charge point
operators to whom we can market the product directly.
