INTRODUCTION:

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted a global effort to develop

effective treatments and vaccines against the virus. Through extensive research and

collaboration, a vaccine has been developed that offers hope in the fight against the plague.

The priority for all countries was to ensure that their citizens who wanted to be vaccinated had

access to safe and effective vaccines, with the goal of widespread coverage. A major

objective of programmes in vaccination is to strengthen and improve vaccine coverage. The

objective was to reach every level of the population and ensure effective, efficient, and

sustainable delivery of vaccines. As investment in vaccine research increased, the supply

chain for vaccines and essential medicines faced increasing pressure to operate at optimum

levels.

Vaccine supply in different countries was tracked in different ways, but usually there

were important steps such as quantification, procurement, request, storage in central,

regional, and regional warehouses, and a transfer from a higher storage area to the next

station. Typically, two to three storage units are added before the vaccine reaches the

vaccination site, where protection will be provided.

By combining a coordinated approach with seamless logistics and delivery, countries

aim to ensure that vaccines reach every person efficiently and without delay. This required

strategic planning, complex planning, and effective communication between the various

stakeholders involved in the vaccination programme.

The next, will provide an overview of the vaccination supply chain, highlighting
