    Nuclear Energy can be used to create Electricity. Due to high consumption of using
    Electricity here in our country that caused poverty, it is best to have a Nuclear Power Plant.

    The forum argued the things we should understand about nuclear energy and its
    advantages on our economic status. Having a nuclear power plant is long-term commitment, we
    must make sure that we have funds to support, maintain and regulate the industry.
    It was year 1976 when they began to build Bataan Nuclear Power Plant and it was nearly
    completed year 1984 since Three Mile Island accident in the United States that due to the delay
    of construction. BNPP caused cheap electricity. That can attract more of foreign investors. Our
    costly electricity cost us dearly in terms of economic opportunity. Having this Nuclear power
    plant again will help our country to achieve lower cost of electricity. As Mr. Mark Cojuangco
    stated “Dapat, ang kuryente ay alipin ng tao, hindi kuryente ang umaalipin sa tao”. His statement
    made me realized that its not to late to change the status and situation of our economy and our
    country. Listening to this forum gave me plenty of realizations that if we start our own nuclear
    power plant or maybe the reoperation of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant can give us a huge
    transformation, then we should start now. Philippines can change. Philippines can make a
    difference. We can make a difference.
