The chart shows the results of surveys in one African country asking teenagers

the main reasons for using their phones between 2016 and 2019. Summarise the
information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.

The pie chart illustrates the main purposes for adolescents in an African country
using their phones from 2016 to 2019.
Overall, there was an increase for users who had phones for social networks and
digital camera, while a decline was seen in the number of phones used for emailing
and calling. In addition, social networking reasons are consistently by far the most
reasons why people used mobile phones and the reverse trend was true in the
figure for contacting.
The percentage for adolescents had their phones accessed social platforms started
at 50%, accounted for half of the teenagers examined, followed by an increase to
56% in 2019. Similar changes can be seen in the figure for using their phones to
take a photo, which experienced a slight progression from 15% in 2016 to 20% in
the period of 4 years.
25% of the teenagers used their phones for emailing in 2016, witnessing a
subsequent decrease to 19% over the period. Similarly, the figure for people had
their phones to have a call declined slightly from 10% in 2016 to ending the period
in 5% in 2019.
