In Figures In Words Construction of 600 mm thick diaphragm wall from constructed earthen bund above water level in R.C.C.grade M-30 of various depth. The rate includes construction of guide wall 1200 mm deep in R.C.C.grade M-20 of 100 mm thickness made from lightly reinforced concrete. Grabbing & Trenching for diaphragm wall shall be carried out in all type of soil / sand / gravel by adopting approved method. Concreting in batching plant, the cost of reinforcement for diaphragm wall and earthen bund will be paid under saperate item. The contractor's rate should include the cost of following items a Site clearance before starting the work and after completion of work including survey work. b Construction of guide wall in M20 grade concrete, including Earthwork in Excavation and or Backfilling. Demolishing and stacking of unused material of guide wall after completion of the diaphragm wall as directed by the Engineer.cost of reinforcement in guide wall. c Trenching by approved trenching equipment upto desired depth in all sorts of soil except hard and soft Rock. d Concreting by tremmie in controlled concrete M30 grade including cost of all materials, bentonite, labourers, tools, plants, and equipments etc. complete. e Overflowing of contaminated concrete of 0.6 m height(equivalent volume 0.36 m above cutoff level and similutenious finishing the concrete at cutoff level in green state(Chipping or dismentaling of contaminated concrete is not allowed instead of equivalent overflowing concrete is suggested). 28000 m Amount (in Rs. )

Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Limited f Filling and compacting contaminated concrete below reinforced earth wall as shown in the drawing in green state only. g The earthen bund is proposed to be constructed above water level and construction of diaphragm wall is to be carried out in dry condition from constructed earthen bund.The cost of construction of earthen bund is to be paid saperately as per item no. 6.2(2 and 3). However contractor expecting any dewatering for construction of diaphragm wall same should be included in the item. The cost of dewatering would not be payable to contractor. h The cost of reinforcement of diaphragm wall will be paid separately. i The quoted rate shall cover costs towards extra concrete consumed due to voids, pockets, bulges, side collapse of earth faces etc.The wall shall be measured as per drawing dimensions and paid for only such square metre of concrete calculated from these measurements. j providing and fixing 100 mm dia PVC pipe having capacity of 6 Kg/cm2 at 1.5 m c/c in grid pattern in Diaphragm wall as shown in the drawing. k providing and fixing steel shuttering from top of bund to river bed level during concreting of Diaphragm wall towards River side for form finish surface of diaphragm wall upto riverbed (Removable form work,Methodology to be decided by the contractor). 2 Supplying, erecting, placing, lowering in position by suitable method HYSD(TMT ) Fe 415 reinforcement confirming to IS 1786 of all categories for diaphragm wall at all levels including cutting to required length bending, providing hooks if any, overlapping, binding with 18 gauge annealed wires, welding if any laying in position to ensure proper cover specified during concreting etc complete as directed. SUB SECTION : 6.2 SPECIAL FILL FOR GUIDE BUND BILL OF QUANTITIES Stretch - 01 ( West Side - Between Gandhi Bridge to Ellis Bride )
Sr. Description of Item No. 1 Cleaning and grubbing , removing and disposing of all materials such as trees, bushes, shrubs, stumps, roots, grass, weeds, top organic soil, garbage, solid waste of any thickness, rubbish etc., which in the opinion of the Engineer are unsuitable for incorporation in the works, from the area of river front and disposing as instructed engineer incharge including all lift and lead and as per specification. 2 Embankment construction under water: Backfilling is to be placed under water, only acceptable granular material having angle of internal friction more than 30 degree shall be used unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. Acceptable granular material shall consist of graded, hard durable particles with maximum particle size not exceeding 75 mm. The material should be nonplastic having uniformity coefficient of not less than 10. The material placed in open water shall be deposited by end tipping without compaction. Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Limited Page 57 Note : 1 Item for which no rate or price has been entered in will not be paid for by the employer when executed and shall be deemed covered by the other rates and prices in the bill of quantities. 2 Unit rates and prices shall be quoted by the bidder in Indian Rupee. 3 Where there is a discrepancy between the rate in figures and words, the rates in words will govern. 4 No extra payment shall be paid for material testing, concrete testing of structure and any other tests as required. 5 The octroi amount paid on the material by the contractor will be reimbersed on actuals. 6 The royalty exemption is expected from government of gujarat.The contractor unit rate shall exclud all royalties, however any royalities paid by contractor will be reiembersed as actual. 7 The unidentified utilities shall be shifted or reconstructed as per prevailng S.O.R rates of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
