Good morning, everyone, today I’m going to talk about death row inmate. In my opinion, death penalty
should be canceled because it’s a fundamental human rights’ denial.

Whenever violence or crime has occurred, social movements always impel to penalize the criminal. They
think that the punishment should be something that what the criminal deserve. Furthermore, if there is
a death penalty, the criminal will not happen again. On the other hand, there are much international
research obviously show that increasing and decreasing of crime are not involved with death penalty.

In that case, the comparison of two similar countries which are Singapore and Hong Kong; there is still a
serious death penalty in Singapore, however, there is no capital punishment in Hong Kong. Number of
crimes in these two countries are almost the same. If death penalty can really decrease the crime,
number of crimes in Singapore should be less than in Hong Kong.

Of course. Due to, there is not enough justice in Thailand, therefore, how can we make sure that the
death penalty has penalized the right person. Many cases in Thailand and foreign countries punished
wrong people and they can not bring back anything after that.

เหตุผลที่ควรยกเลิกการประหารชีวิต
1. การประหารชีวิตเป็ นการละเมิดสิทธิขนพื
ั ้ ้นฐานของมนุษย์
2. กระบวนการยุติธรรมย่อมมีความเสี่ยงที่จะตัดสินผิดพลาดไม่มีระบบใดที่จะตัดสินได้ อย่าง เป็ นธรรม และโดยไม่มีข้อ

3. นักโทษที่ถกู ประหารชีวิตส่วนใหญ่คือคนยากจน ด้ อยโอกาสไม่สามารถจ้ างทนายความที่มีความสามารถได้ และจากงาน

Reasons why execution should be cancelled.

1. Execution is a human rights violation.

2. Process of judgement can be risk to make a mistake. If there is a mistake from execution, we cannot
bring back the life.

3. Some death row inmates were poor, therefore, they couldn’t effort lawyers that have ability to
against the judgement. The result showed that financial status of death row inmates in Thailand were
always poor.

4. Execution cannot restrain crime violence or make the society safer. However, it caused bad effect to
society because nobody can prove that execution can suppress crimes.

แก้ ไขเยียวยาและการที่พวกเขากระทำความผิดย่อมหมายถึงบางสิ่งบางอย่างในสังคมของเรามันทำหน้ าที่ผิดเพี ้ยนไปสิ่งที่เรา
ควรคิดคือไม่ใช่การกำจัดพวกเขาให้ ออกไปจากสังคมแต่ละคนคิดที่จะหาต้ นตอของปั ญหาเพื่อทำการแก้ ไข
In my opinion, we should have a new opportunity about the criminal. We shouldn’t think that they are
bad guys and should get what they deserve. Nevertheless, they are a part of society same as one of us,
and the punishment shouldn’t be for revenge. It should be the solution to improve them. Their guilty
could mean something wrong in society. Instead of thinking about the way to get rid of them, we
should find the cause of their action to find the best way of solution.

เป็ นผู้ทำหน้ าที่ “ฆ่า”แทนเราเท่านันเอง

When we put the anger for what they did, we shouldn’t do the same thing. Otherwise, we are the same
as being a criminal. By the way, we just didn’t kill by ourselves, but we assign it to executioner.
