Today is a very busy day. I´m meeting Rolf Schindler as my uncle Brian is away on
business. It’s early in the morning and I’m waiting for Rolf to take the train to my flat so
we can have some coffee. Rolf is a good natured and easy-going man. He is from
Switzerland and he speaks very good English. He is currently studying at Basel College
and he is visiting England part on holiday and part on business. He would like to stay for
ten days and then he would like to come back again and work for six months. Now, he is
going to stay at the “Sweet Dreams Hotel”, which is really near Hyde Park. I’m sure that
later in the afternoon he would like to try his first English beer, so I’ll take him to a
beautiful small pub across Trafalgar Square. There we can also have our famous fish and
chips. I’ll recommend that he does a sightseeing tour of our city in a double decker bus –
they´re amazing! I think we will become very good friends.
