CHAPTER ONE.
Serviette holder is a kitchen equipment and also a restaurant equipment used in holding serviettes,
they come from different materials e.g., beads, wood, plastic, or glass.

They are majorly used for holding serviettes and for decor .it began to appear after invention of a
paper napkin it first come in form of small rings usually called napkin rings. Recently the serviette
holders have come in various designs and different materials like beads, this serviette holders are
not only used in restaurants but also in home.

1.1 BACKGROUND INFORMATION.

The serviette holder started in Europe during the Napoleonic period .mostly mostly used by
bourgeoisie family as a mean to identify who each serviette belonged to. The practical use of the
serviette holder soon spread throughout the western world and it is still widely used today and we'll
integrated as part of the table setting.

1.2 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

The overall aim of this project was to find out the procedures of making serviette holder

To estimate out the cost of making a serviette holder and material used to make it

To identify the uses of a serviette holder

To know the importance of s serviette holder

To acquire skills of making a serviette holder from different materials

1.3 SIGNIFICANCE OF A SERVIETTE HOLDER.

The serviette holder made of beads will be used in holding serviettes in a hotel or restaurant.it is
usually placed on the table I made it from beads since they are durable. In order to stay for long.
The serviette hold can be made from different types of materials egg gals’ timber and many other
materials.

1
1.4 SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
The serviette holder as mentioned before that is made from beads, I decided to make it since it had
its purposes of holding serviettes in a restaurant or hotel. I made the serviette holder while I was at
home where I went to the market and collected the materials an those were, the bead, thread ,tape
measure. I can say it did not give me any hard time or challenge on making. It better it was A bit
easy making it I took only two days to complete it.

The limitations of the serviette holder is to holder serviettes in a restaurant or hotel the one I made
it does not hold a opt of serviette since it is a bit smaller. hence I did not get the enough material to
make a bigger one.

2
CHAPTER TWO.

2.0. LITERATURE REVIEW.

2.1 INTRODUCTION.
The servitte holder is not made by machine..I used the hand on making it. The materials I used
were beads since they were cheap to buy a make further more they look beautiful when the
serviette holder is completely made. It took me around two days on making it. I enjoyed making it
since it had no complications and just easy joining the beads and making it. But the serviette holder
can be made from different materials such as glass, Plastic and many other materials.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE.

Serviette holder should be kept aware from children since they may tamper with it.

It should be kept in a dry place where water cannot reach.

It should be handled careful for it to last longer.

ADVANTAGES OF SERVITTE HOLDER

It does not require lot of skills

It is easy to make

It is light hence it is easy to handle

It does not break easily

5
Step 4: demonstration of the final product

CHAPTER FOUR

4.0 FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, RECOMMNDATION

4.1 FINDINGS
The serviette holder is recently used in mostly used in most of the restaurants and thotels, they are
mostly used in holding serviettes to some restaurants they are used for decoration. This had made it
easier especially when the customer needs a serviette he/she would easily pick it from the holder.

CONCLUSION.
Serviette holder is increasing its popularity day by day and different designs which make one to
have a great urge of using it in any function at home or in catering establishment.

Therefore, it is encouraged that the use of Serviette holder will increase the standards especially in
an establishment and will help to reduce the cost of purchase and increase the sales.

RECOMMENDATION
Serviette holder from beads is a good equipment in any catering establishment. It brings out
convenient decor in a restaurant. It can also be used at home during various events especially
during service. So do recommend the restaurant staffs to use serviette holder made of beads in
restaurants and any other outside catering events.
