Life Saver Rules – Excavation Work

 Underground utilities to be pre-identified and


precautions taken.
 Excavated materials shall be kept at least 1.5
m away
 Adequate access shall be provided in
excavations. (2 points minimum)
 Ensure proper shoring, benching and slopping
to prevent the collapse of excavation.( 45˚ to
be maintained)

Obtain Authorisation Before Starting Excavation Work

Life Saver Rules – Working at Height

 Person climbing up will wear Full Body Safety


Harness and secure it.

 Material should be hoisted and lowered only


using rope.

 Suitable barriers should be erected below work


area and signs displayed to advise personnel of
potential hazards.

 Personnel should ensure that all material/ tools,


and/or all equipment are kept secure at all times.

 All personnel must wear safety helmet at all


times.

No Working At Height without use of proper safety harnesses

Life Saver Rules – Lifting Operations

 Never to work directly under, or within the


potential fall radius of a suspended load.
 All personnel to be clear of load before and
during movement.
 Suitable barriers should be erected below
work area and signs displayed to advise
personnel of potential hazards.
 Personnel should ensure that all material/
tools, and/or all equipment are kept secure at
all times.

Avoid Walking Under A Suspended Load

Life Saver Rules – Road Safety

 Follow Speed Limit


 Inside Operational Area – 15 Kmph
 Peripheral Roads – 30 Kmph.

Do not exceed company driving speed limits

Life Saver Rules - JMP

 Speed Limit is maximum 65 Kmph


 No Night driving without approval.
 Check Vehicle condition before start of every
journey.
 Do not indulge in conflicts with local people.
 Do not Pick-up Hitch Hikers

Follow Prescribed Journey Management Plan

Life Saver Rules – Secure Loose Material

 Material should be hoisted and lowered only


using rope.
 Suitable barriers should be erected below
work area and signs displayed to advise
personnel of potential hazards.
 Report any signs of dizziness- vertigo
immediately.
 Ensure Toe-Guards for working platforms.

Life Saver Rules – Live Equipments

 Do not move machines close to live


equipments.
 Do not walk close to the live machineries.
 Take safe distance from pressurised
lines/equipments.

Keep Yourself Safe from Moving or Pressurised Equipment

Life Saver Rules - OHL

 Do not work below the OHL Line.


 Do not park the vehicles below the OHL Line.
 No lifting operations close to the live electrical
lines.

Avoid working under or near overhead electric lines

Life Saver Rules – Lifting Operation

 Make a Lifting Plan


 Use certified Lifting Tools and Tackles.
 Do through inspection of Lifting Tools and
Tackles.
 Ensure Operator Competency.

Follow prescribed lift plan

Life Saver Rules - MOC

MOC
 Ensure changes have been approved by CIL.
 Ensure Risk Assessment have been done
before the change.
 Follow applicable Life Savers.

No Modifications without MOC Signed and Authorised
