4 INSTALLATION
The cook top is fitted into the work bench with a simple incision. Any type of
support may be used; certain plastic materials are not recommended in that
they are subject to deformation with heating at around 100°. Take care to pro-
vide a space of 50 mm between the rear incision of the cook top and the rear
part of the work bench in order to avoid burning the wall or the cook top
cover – especially if the cover is stratified.
Particular care should be taken, during positioning, of the joint that covers the
border of the cook top to avoid any type of infiltration into the cabinet part of
the work bench.
Very important
It is imperative to ensure that the fitting of the pyroceram is on a perfectly flat
surface. The deformations provoked by a defective fitting may risk the altera-
tion of the cook top’s characteristics and therefore its performance.
Operation
Caution prior to use. The glue used for the joints deposits, during storage,
traces of grease on the glass. It is recommended that these traces are re-
moved, prior to using the cook top, with a common cleaning product (non
abrasive luster cream). During the first hours of use, a rubber odor is released
which is quickly dispersed.

1 The distance to respect between the base of the cook top and cabinet top situated beneath, should
be greater than 20 mm.
Avoid placing a dishwasher underneath the cook top bench. In which case,
place an airtight separation between the two appliances.
5 CONNECTION
5.1 TIG 444: EQUIPPED WITH ONE CABLE, AND IS CONNECTED TO THE
HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICAL MAINS BY OBSERVING THE FOLLOWING
SCHEME
It is dangerous to operate the appliance without connecting the earth cable.

12 BREAKDOWN CODES
E 28 = No cook pot signal. Replace the modules command card (ref: 137799)
BIP sound permanent: Clean the keyboard keys (above the glass)
• TIE 441 & KT 6104I: letter «F» appears in the visualization 7 segments of the
hotplate in question.
Note The defectiveness of one thermal sensor may cause, in a permanent mode, the
switching on or off of the flashing signals for residual heat.
