1. If you could start your career over again, what would you do differently?
First of all, I would start my musical training at school age with professional
teachers, for several years I had empirical teachers in my first training and the
results weren't the best.

2. During your performance reviews, what criticism do you hear the most?
Sometimes I have heard criticism from colleagues for lack of a good performance
in their sight reading of the scores, also, because they cannot transmit the
musical knowledge with a good pedagogy.

3. Tell me about your last position?

I am currently a director of Scherzando, I am its founder and owner.

4. What is your work philosophy?

try to make my students understand in an entertaining and fun way the musical
concepts that pertain to the repertoire they are learning. I think this allows them
to move forward out in a better interpretation of the repertoire they yearn to
play.

5. How have you changed professionally speaking in the last two years?
I believe that I am more calm and analytical to present the piano technique to each
student, I am convinced that each student learns in a different way. The key is
to identify the most effective medium for each piano student.

6. Tell me about the best manager you have ever had.

Maestro Aurelio was one of the best. I managed to advance in my instrumental

level despite the poor training that I had had with empirical teachers that I had
previously.

7. What were the most memorable accomplishments in your last position?

I have been serving as a principal of Scherzando for the past 18 years. I have
managed to position the brand and the academy today has students in Bogota
and its surroundings, it also has students in Panama, Chile and the United
States.

8. Why do you want to leave your current job?

I don't want to quit. I'm just looking for alternative experiences to what I do
regularly at Scherzando.

9. In your previous position, how much time did you spend learning how to do
things better? I believe that in my position you always learn to do things better,
the continuous evolution to offer more quality is part of the position. For
example, now in the middle of the pandemic, the virtual classes that we offer
have greatly improved their quality of transmission.

10. If you’re very happy with your current job, why do you want to leave? As I
mentioned before, I do not want to leave my current position, I only want to
have alternative activities at my address in Scherzando, I long to have more
experiences in institutions other than the one I direct.
