Dear Student

As you are on the verge of the completion of your first year, let us understand what you did with regard to your career
prospective in this year:-

• You studied Program Orientation courses that helped you understand various opportunities available to you after
you complete your program.
• You have chosen Cohort(s) for yourself to give fine-tuned direction to your career goal. You got awareness
regarding skills and attributes that you need to acquire to perform well in your selected cohort.

Now at the present juncture after the completion of your ETE when you go for your term break, we would like to
highlight certain important points to be considered during this time: -

• The upcoming term shall become more oriented and specialized in terms of imparting technical knowledge and
shall have high number of specialization-based courses.
• The courses that you shall be studying shall be imparting and enhancing your technical skills and hence would
require rigorous efforts.
• Placement orientation shall begin, and you would be required to attain new skills as per the market requirement.

In order to give direction to your efforts and attain certain skills and proficiencies before the start of term we have
developed a list of resources in terms of MOOCs and certifications by successfully completing these MOOCs and
certifications. During this term break period you shall not only be getting better oriented towards your career goals
but also give a pre-start to your upcoming term which shall definitely go a long way in achieving your established
career goals. A detailed list of identified MOOCs and certifications (particularly specific for the upcoming term) has
been attached with this communication.

You are required to identify and mark at least one MOOCs/certifications from the attached list (preferably as per
your selected Cohort) which you would be completing/registering during your term break. The student can also
identify additional certifications as per their selected cohort and complete the same during the summer break. All such
students shall also be eligible for relevant Academic Benefits. Students can view details of selected cohort as per the

For reference at a later stage you can note down the selected MOOCs/certification in the space provided below from the
list attached.

However, the students can later modify the choice of MOOCs/Certifications submitted by them as well as add on to the
list of MOOCs/Certifications provided to them if they have a better alternative of MOOCs/Certifications available with
them.

The student can access the NPTEL website (www.nptel.ac.in/) to find out more relevant MOOCs/Certifications for
themselves. The NPTEL courses shall be given the highest priority while giving the academic benefits.

Further after your successful registration in the selected MOOCs/Certification you are required to upload the details
on UMS Portal as per the path specified below.

The student shall be eligible for associated benefits only after submission of certificate provided to him/her after the
successful completion of MOOCs/Certifications. In case of any query or further assistance login a request through RMS
