The Dump Bailer is a wireline tool mainly used in well abandonments. The Dump
Bailer is comprised of a top ported section, stackable extension sections and a
bottom sub with either a glass or ceramic plug. This tool is filled with cement (or
sand) and run in to a preset Bridge Plug. The cement is released by breaking the
glass/ceramic dome in the bottom of the tool by either explosive or mechanical
means.
ADVANTAGES:
• The Bottom Sub utilizes an O-Ring to provide a positive seal that prevents
cement from leaking into the thread connections and prevents the glass from
being damaged when the glass holder is tightened. This design also provides a
positive shoulder when tightening the bottom sub.
• There are 2 optional collars for use with the Top Sub. The first version accepts
various Upper Spinning Collar Sub bodies. The second version accepts the
standard 1.188 GO thread of the cable head.
• The glass thickness of each tool size is designed for optimum pressure rating.
This ensures that 5 sections can be safely run to ensure maximum cement
capacity is delivered.
• An optional blast extension is available to b run above the glass. This prevents
the Bottom Section from being damaged due to detonation.
• A glass disk only or ceramic dome/glass disk bottom section is available to be
run with the dump bailer (see MAN-WT-211-099-097).

Assembly Procedure
Step 1: Remove Thread Protectors (Items 1 and 2) from Dump Bailer Top Section (Item 3) and Dump Bailer
Extension (Item 4) if used.
Step 2: Connect wireline to the Dump Bailer using either the Gland Nut (Item 5) or cable head Crossover (Item 6).
Step 3: Connect Dump Bailer Top Section (Item 3) to any Dump Bailer Extensions (Item 4) being used. The
Hanger Sub (Item 7) can be used between sections or they can be threaded directly together.
*If O-Rings are being used between bailer joints, they can be installed in the thread reliefs at this time.
Step 4: If using the Blast Extension (Item 8), it can be connected to the last Dump Bailer section at this time.
Step 5: Assemble the Dump Bailer Bottom section (Item 9) being used as per MAN-WT-211-099-097 and thread
