1. Complex: if something is complex, it is
complicated.

Example: A complex science experiment can be


difficult for students to explain.

2. Elegant: An explanation that is simple and


precise is elegant.

Example: The teacher gave an elegant explanation


of the water cycle.
3. Principle: A principle is a basic truth, law or
belief.

Example: How can you demonstrate the principle


of gravity?.

4. Reluctant: When people are reluctant, they


hesitate to do something.

Example: Don´t be reluctant to try out for the


soccer team.
5. Specimes: Samples to be analyzed by doctors or
scientists are specimes.

Example: The lab analyzed the tissue specimes for


the doctor.
