Course Description: This course deals with the study of food in relation to health. It covers nutrients and other substances and their action, and interaction and balance in relation to
health and diseases and the process by which organisms ingests, digests, absorbs, transports, utilizes, and excretes food substances. It will also focus in the therapeutic and food
service aspect of the delivery of nutritional services in hospital and other health care institutions

Course Requirement: Projects, completed homeworks

Classroom policies: Cellphone’s off, three lates equivalent to one absent, 15 minutes late is considered absent, 20% absent from the total number of attendance is considered
dropped. Once found cheating during examination,20% will be deducted from the score, 20% will be deducted from the score once the exam is not taken on time.
Course Outcome; At the end of the course, given relevant situations ,the student will be able to:
Cognitive: The students will be able to share leadership/relater effectively with others in work situations related to nursing and health.

Psychomotor: The student will be able to perform appropriate plan of care to improve the health status of mother and child.

Affective: The students will be able to plan relevant and comprehensive interventions and programs based on identify priority problems

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is designed to provide the students with activities to strengthen skills, knowledge and appropriate attitude and values on health promotion/
maintenance and disease prevention through proper identification of risk factors leading to a specific health problem; and an efficient and effective ways to manage these health
problems identified in an individual, family and community.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES: Given the family, the students will be able to apply the family nursing process in meeting the Promotive and Preventive health needs of the family across
