The history of Cellphone

Martin Cooper was born in Chicago (Illinois, USA) in 1928 and graduated in Electrical
Engineering in 1950. A pioneer in the wireless communication industry, Cooper invented the
first Motorola DynaTAC 8000X cell phone on April 3, 1973. and he also supervised the ten
years of work that were necessary to bring the product to market in the 1980s.

The first commercial automated cellular network was launched in Japan by Nippon Telegraph
and Telephone in 1979.

Disadvantages and Advantages of cellphone use

advantages

1. Cell phones give you the option to ask for help if you need it.

2. These devices allow us to quickly retrieve information.

3. Mobile phones are a way to kill boredom.

4. You can find your way if you get lost with a cell phone.

5. It is a very portable and affordable device.

6. Nowadays, you get better internet access with cell phones.

Disadvantages

1. Mobile phones create a major distraction for people.

2. New cell phones can be very expensive.

3. It exposes people to the problem of cyberbullying more often.

4. Mobile phone technologies can create addictive tendencies in people.

5. There are problems of sexual abuse, exploitation and child pornography with cell phones.

6. Mobile phone batteries can be dangerous.

Your Personal opinion:

It keeps us in touch with our loved ones, bosses, clients and work teams. However, it also
allows us to work remotely, make purchases, transactions, play games and interact virtually
through social networks.
