Minimum Requirements
1. QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS
 8 to 12 years’ relevant experience as Painting & Coating inspector/ Engineer in refinery/
petrochemical or similar chemical industries and should be B.E. Mechanical or Diploma
 “Additional qualification of Certified Coating Inspector Level 2 (CIP Level -2) from AMPP
( NACE / SSPC) shall be considered as added advantage”

 Audit of Painting and Coating process and filling the identified gaps.
 Coordination with RIL SMEs for alternate Painting Spec if required for specific services.
 Identification of Painting performance problem and providing solution as per RIL
Specification.

2.4 HSE KNOWLEDGE

 Know & understand own company HSE commitment (Policies and objectives)
 Conversant with basic safety rules for working in Refinery or similar industries.
 Awareness about emergency actions & facilities (location of F&G alarm, assembly point,
emergency telephone number, escape route etc.)
 Awareness on the types of tools to be used for painting and coating job
 Awareness of precautions to be taken for “Work at Height”
 Awareness about Painting and coating material management.
 Painting and coating Inspection and Certification
 Detailed planning of painting work with marked up on P&ID and Isometric marking.
 Scope quantification and material requirement identification.
 Resource requirement identification for TA scope.
 Painting quality monitoring and ensure recommended action with quality- specially for cold
and high temperature line.
 Pre and Post TA painting healthiness survey and report preparation.

3. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

 Understanding of painting and coating procedure and commitment to follow the same. Ability
to educate and comply with right painting system application at right place as per RIL
procedure.
 Knowledge of various types of painting system and specs.
 Awareness of special grade paints.
 Painting survey and quantification at pre-readiness.
 Painting and Coating MIS preparation and publish.
 Training on Painting and Coating System and Specification.
 Painting and coating application method monitoring and tracking progress/ publish MIS.
  Monitoring the safety compliance, KPIS and audit of painting and coating application as per
RIL spec.
