buyers and fetches business for a product manufacturing company. Sampling is one of
the key elements of the pre – production processes in a home textile industry. Before a

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
REFERENCES
• www.alpsindustries.com
In the entire period of 6 weeks of my internship at ALPS Industies Ltd. I have learnt • www.nift.ac.in
about working in a professional environment. From little to big issues I got to learn • www.wgsn.com
how to apply information that we have learned to an actual application. Personally • Internship Reports
the experience is truly vast. I learnt that knowledge has no boundaries and working
under such enlightening guidance, I grow as a designer. Hence, the company gave
me rejuvenating experience.

Time management is an important aspect overall because, there are a plenty

of tasks to be done in a day. Planning and organizing was another important
learning experience. During the high time of the sampling, when the deadline
was approaching, there was a proper planning of the pending pieces in an
organised manner. It is very important to identify how the time has to be managed
in accordance with the labour, with the help of planning, the work was distributed
evenly.

The internship was a worthwhile experience which helped me to gain considerable

professional knowledge about the way how an export house works. All together it
was a great learning experience to work with different designers,
exchanging ideas with each other and observing brief given by them.
