Specific Learning  The goal of this lesson is to determine whether or not the students

• The audience consists of children with special needs, gifted and edd, and
children who are struggling, as well as those who are advanced. What kind
of information do they know about the timeline.

• I would use different assessments to see where they are developing and
not. • I will ask them questions to see their development; They will know a
lot about his life, so they make a timeline on his life.

Academic Language I will teach the students about freedom and how they became free, how he
demonstrated peace to others, how justice was served, and how equality
and civil rights were demonstrated at the time. How the white community
handled Him.

For example:

 I will record their ideas on the white board and ask more questions about the amount of

The Learners learn differently, and I will talk about his life from the book as they answer the
questions they make a timeline from it

For example:
• I will use a Venn diagram graphic organizer to teach kids how to compare the key characters in
the read-aloud story, and they will create a timeline based on it.
• Before allowing students to work on the Venn diagram visual organizer with their elbow partner,
I will model one example on the white board.

Allow enough wait time to help an ELL formulate a response in a large group context.

do a timeline off the information.

 Early finishers Have children help the children with special needs and gifted children with
what they are struggling in the work.

Students may also demonstrate their knowledge in more formative methods. Students can
participate in thumbs up-thumbs down,  hand raising, for example. Make a note of the titles of
any formative assessments..

communicate in pairs

 Students with special needs: Have them use their hands up and down or hand raising to
see what they know about what is presented.

resources/support): Choose a child in the class they can help bulid a time line with
