It is Monday morning at 6:30 A.M.

Dallas is supposed to be
getting ready for school but instead he was still asleep. His father has already left the house and
gone to work. Dallas wakes up at 12:30 P.M and decides he dosen’t want to go to school so he
got dressed in his leather jacket and black boots and went to a diner across the street.

He started to get weird looks from people around, probrably because he was a 17 year old
boy who shouldn’t be out at this time. He should be at school learning but that was not what
Dallas liked to do. He liked to skip school, ignore the rules and disrespect adults. By 5:00,
school was already over so he went over to his friend’s house where all his four bestfriends
hung out. They asked him why he didn’t come to school and he responded with,”There’s so
many other things to worry about besides school.

After he hung out, he left just to walk around town. He checked his watch to see what time it
was and saw that its 1:00 A.M. so he rushed home. He came into the house knowing he was
going to get a long lecture about responsibilities. Dallas’ father was right at the door when he
came in. He said with a stern voice, “Where have you been?” Dallas responded with,” Why do
you care?” They argued back and forth for a long three minutes until Dallas said something he
could never take back. He yelled, “I wish you were never my father!” and ran out the house.
Dallas got lost in the middle of nowhere. He looked on the ground and saw a nice spot to lay on
but it has broken glass on it. He takes the glass and puts it to the side. He waited for a while for
the liquid to dry up, but the liquid was still there because of the chemicals in it. Dallas didn’t
know that so he lyed down. As soon as he did that he was passed out.

Dallas woke up to a woman franctically shaking him awake. When he woke up he felt dizzy.
The woman was dressed in maid’s clothes and was looking sad and sympathetic to him. She
said, “Your father had a stroke again.” Dallas was so confused, but all he could do was hurrily
get dressed and see what she was talking about. He drove as fast as he could to the hospital
she said. When he got there he imediately asked to see his father. The receptionist had to ask
him to calm down. After a while of sitting he got a phone call. When he answered it was the lady
from the house. She said, “I will call the school to tell them you are going to need a substitute.”
Dallas asked,”What school?” “Sir, the school you work at, you’re a teacher… are you okay?”
Dallas didnt get a chance to respond because the lady was out to tell him his father was ready.

When Dallas saw him he couldn’t help but hug him. His father was confused. He didnt know
what was going on. “What’s wrong with him?” Dallas asked. He has some memory loss
remember?” Dallas turned to look at his dad and asked, “Do you know who I am?” His father
thought for a long time and said, “Son.” Dallas felt so relieved and happy. After that he asked the
nurse questions. He had figured out that one night when he and his dad fought, his father got in
a car accident looking for him which caused memory loss and other side effects. Dallas felt
guilty. Dallas stayed for half of the day until he thought it was okay for him to leave.

When he got home he started to notice his “house” was filled with expensive things. His
clothes had been changed from leather jacket and dirty boots to clean dress pants and suits. He
was trying to find a way out of the house so he asked where his friends were at the moment.
Julia, who was the woman in the house said, “All of them moved to New York” Dallas decided to
pretend and just go with what she said.He got ready for bed and decided to go see his dad the
next day. He woke up super early the next day and was able to see him. Dallas and his father
talked for a long time about things they were interested in and things they didn’t know about
each other. When he and his dad were done, Dallas left at 9:00P.M. He didn’t realize what time
it was. When Dallas got home he learned more about his older self. He noticed he became a rich
man that worked as a English teacher at a high school. He realized you should always accept
your parents. Dallas went to bed feeling proud, sympathetic and wondering what was to come
next.
