MINUTES

GENERAL ORIENTATION
FACULTY & TEACHING STAFF

January 06, 2022 at the Faculty Room

The meeting was formally opened by an Opening prayer through an Audio-visual

presentation followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. After which, the
roll call for attendance by the secretary were followed and the reading of the previous
minutes.

WHEREAS, the Vice President for Administration, Mr. Eduardo P. Delos Santos
gave his opening statement and greeted all the faculty and teaching staff who were
present in the said meeting;

WHEREAS, the VPA read to everybody the Joint Memorandum Circular No.
2021-001 of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Department of Health (DOH)
prescribing the “Guidelines on the Gradual Re-opening of Campuses of Higher Education
Institutions for Limited Face-to-Face Classes during COVID-19 Pandemic”.

WHEREAS, the heads of the institution, faculty and staff had deliberated on the
preparation and what are the necessary measures and action to be taken on this
matter.

WHEREAS, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lydia Y. Sumile, had
suggested and informed to all the faculty and teaching staff that they would re-design
their Program outcomes, Course Syllabus, and Design a competency for each program
from the Program Outcomes to cater the educational needs of the student in this time
of pandemic.

WHEREAS, the Vice President for Administration also highlighted that we should
take precautionary measures and must strictly follow the safety health protocols
mandated by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Commission on Higher Education
(CHED) so that all of us will be guided.

WHEREAS, as the guidelines of the CHED is concerned the faculty and the
teaching staff must abide and follow accordingly.

WHEREAS, the VPA assigned personnel on different areas to look-out for the
Re-opening of the limited face to face classes across all disciplines. Furthermore, he
added that the student could attend the class if they are fully vaccinated and they must
be applied in Philhealth as it is serves as their Health Insurance.

NOW THEREFORE, after thorough discussion and deliberation, the faculty, and
teaching staff, and the department heads, have agreed on matters and agenda taken.

WHEREFORE, there will be no other business to be taken up the meeting was

adjourned at exactly 11:45 in the morning.
