WEEK 4 AUGUST 14-18, 2023
DAY 1: August 15, 2023 (Tuesday)

MORNING SESSION: Lesson 5 Co-Ordinate Geometry

The teacher started the session with an energizer to entertain the learners. She emphasized the class
rules and regulation before beginning the session. The teacher encourages learners to participate and cooperate
during the discussion. The students were given time allotted as prescribed in their workbooks. The teacher seen
that learners struggled in their Component 1 Lesson 5 which is about finding the gradient of an equation. To be
honest, this is indeed a struggle in the part the learners because they do not have good retention in plotting of
points and the worse part is some of them does not know how to properly label the cartesian plane. Therefore,
in this entire session as the teacher I aid them in recalling the cartesian plane and how to label each component
of the cartesian plane correctly.

AFTERNOON SESSION:

The learners in the afternoon session were fewer just as the ordinary days. We have just continued our
discussion about the cartesian plane. The students find it hard to grasp on ho to plot, the teacher still need to
assist and give varied examples for them to slowly understand and absorb the topic as expected. The entire
afternoon session was utilized in letting the students to explore the cartesian plane by plotting points in it.

MORNING SESSION: Lesson 5 Co-Ordinate Geometry

The teacher started the session with greetings and some reminders about the class rules. The students
explored the cartesian plane by plotting points at the same time having a result as an artwork. This activity aims
to let the students master the plotting of points as a pre-requisite for them to be able to find the gradient of an
equation on the latter part of the lesson. The 45-minute session for this activity does not suffice to realize their
output.

AFTERNOON SESSION:

The learners and the teacher had their feedbacking about their output. The teacher also asked them on
how did they come up with their output. This enables them to express their ideas and thoughts in the lesson
taught.

FUN FIELD ACTIVITY:

Mathematics Fun field Activity is scheduled every Wednesday of the week. For this week I have
prepared exciting games entitled “Jack and Poy” and “Pass the Ball on”. The following activity aid the teacher to
ensure that the learners grasp the inputs during the discussion and along with it the students enjoyed the
company of their classmates while they were executing the activities prepared.

mayor.

AFTERNOON SESSION:

The learners were given supplemental activities about their task for them to accomplish. The students
were encouraged to finish the NLC activities for them to have their certificate of Completion it this way the
