On our second day, we are assigned to Foreman Danny Soriano (Construction Manager of DHD Design
+ Construction) in Mangaldan Site under Architect Rachel Quinto.

Upon our arrival, we are then introduced by Ar. Quinto to her skilled workers and laborers. We had small
chitchats and orientation wherein we had a chance to get to know about the project.

The project is a Two Storey Residential Commercial Building and is located at Poblacion, Mangaldan,
Pangasinan.

During the day, we are tasked to observe the existing project. The team consisted of 6 skilled workers, 13
laborers, 4 plumbers, and 1 time keeper.

The tasks for the day included skim coating interior walls, plastering circular and other columns,

On our fourth day, we are assigned by Ar. Quinto and Foreman Soriano to be in supervision in the site.
Also, a kind mason taught us on how to form rebars for the concrete post. He taught us how to properly
tie the rebars with No. 16 GI Tie Wire. We are able to apply our learning in Reinforced Concrete Design
specifically the proper spacing of lateral ties.

Throughout the day, the following tasks were accomplished.

1. Plastering of the Stage of the Facade's Columns was done.

2. Skim Coating will be continued tomorrow.
3. ⅜ of the Concrete Column Moldings were fabricated.
4. Installing metal furring was already started at the second floor.
5. Spandrel was also started to put in place.
6. Excavation for the perimeter wall, fabrication of RSB of columns and footing (parilya).

In our fifth day at Mangaldan Site, we have learned the value of wearing personal protective equipment
and the value of material inventory.

Upon arrival, the labor caught our attention and reported that one labor had torn his foot by a nail. The
action that we'd given is to rush him to the nearest clinic. There, he was treated and injected anti-tetanus
and antibiotics.

The PPE is necessary to to protect employees from health and safety risks they might encounter at work,
including injuries.

After that, a 500 hollowblocks were delivered. In the receipt, it said that Ar. Quinto ordered 500 pieces of
#4 CHB and we are expecting 504 pieces to be delivered. However, upon manual counting and
recounting, we found out that there are 15 pieces lacking.

Material inventory is very important in construction. It is a crucial part since every piece of material cost a
lot. It is always be a must to do recount whenever there are delivery.
