Logistics Plan Rev: 0

1. Introduction
The main objective for this logistic plan is to specify the site constraints and the installation
methodology.

The Logistics Plan specifies working and installation measures to prevent accidents. Contact
arrangements between principal contractor and other contractors shall be submitted and agreed
by the principal contractor, prior to the commencement of the installation. The installation shall
thereafter take place in accordance with the measures identified within the logistic plan.

2. Project Information
The project is located at 17 Waterloo Road, Samrand Business Park, Centurion, Gauteng, SouthAfrica,
0187.

This project consists of the construction of a new data center at 17 Waterloo Rd, Samrand Business
Park, Centurion, 0187. This new data center facility is an extension to the Johannesburg2 (JHB2) campus
on an empty site adjacent the current data center (JHB2.1-2.4). This new data center will consist of an
in-situ concrete structure that will be constructed to house eight data halls. The data center is designed
to deliver and IT capacity of 20MW across 2 tranches. Tranche 1 and 2 will fit out 4 data halls
respectively.

At the discretion of ADC, the data center construction will follow a phased approach, i.e. Tranche1
first (start of life SoL) and Tranche 2 sometime thereafter (day 2), or both tranches will be deployed
simultaneously.

The overall build will follow a modular build approach with the data halls and ancillary services (offices,
loading bays, goods receiving, staging, storage etc) located within the main in-sit concrete structure and
the cooling distribution infrastructure (chillers and buffer tanks) located on the roof. The roof will also
accommodate the Air Handling Units (AHU) required for humidity control, ventilation and
pressurization of the data halls, smoke extraction fans, backup water supply, fire water supply as well
as all ancillaries required for the chilled water circuit (pressurization, thermalexpansion, dosing, side-
stream filtration etc). The electrical infrastructure will comprise prefabricated “modules” comprising
the MV, LV, UPS, and Generator equipment.

The modular design of the data center allows for the flexible expansion of IT capacity and fit-out of
data halls. The building will comprise of 2-off 10MW “Blocks” with 6 IT “strings” deployed per block.
The “strings” comprise of the prefabricated MV-Transformer, LV-UPS and Generator “Modules” and
represent 2MW of electrical capacity each. Each “Block” supports 4 data halls across the 6 strings.
Cooling is distributed via a Variable Primary System (VPS) on a dedicated 10MW chilled water header
(with interconnection available) per “Block”, with 9-off air-cooled chillers per “Block” (N+1). Data halls
will be cooled by means of fan wall cooling units, fed from adual loop system with Hot Aisle containment
deployed throughou
