LOCATION

The students picked the Philippine Maya as the subject of the birdhouse project. As
such the location should be carefully selected due to a variety of reasons. In line with this, the
group aims the following objectives in finalizing the location.

1. The location should be peaceful, quiet, and inclusive. Birds need safety and
seclusion. They are seeking a location with little traffic, devoid of people and
predators.
2. The location should be in an open area. A place distant from direct sunshine and
strong winds, like a clearing or meadow. In addition to having adjacent trees or shrubs
that offer shade and protection, the entry of the home should face away from the
direction of the prevailing winds.
3. The location should be accessible to bird watchers. While the safety from predators
and the adoption rate provided by birdhouses are beneficial to the birds, it is also
crucial that bird watchers can observe and maintain the birdhouse.

Final Location
The group's eventual location would be an open place close to a member's house after
considerable deliberation and consideration.
