Once you submit applications and receive conditional offers, the accommodation office will contact
you via email to reserve a room. You will be given a deadline by which you will need to make the
deposit payment.
Once you have received ALL your offers, you will be given a deadline to accept the offers.
Be sure to follow the deadline to accept the offers on UCAS Track
Universities will provide students with the information on the tuition fee payment methods, deadline,
and amount. Certain Universities will require a deposit in order for the CAS (Confirmation on
Acceptance of Studies) to be issued. Most of the information can be found in the respective
Universities offer letter.
Visa application is done upon receiving the CAS. A visa briefing will be done in July/August with latest
information from the UK Border Agency.
Visa can cost RM 4000 to RM 5000 depending the duration of your studies.
Malaysia is under the low risk category. Not all students will be required to show financial evidence.
However, students may be randomly picked to show financial evidence. All students are advised to
have sufficient cash ( tuition fee + living cost or approximately RM 160,000) in a bank account one
month prior to visa application. More information will be provided during the visa briefing.
Q17. Should I renew my passport?
Your passport validity should cover the period of your study in the UK. You should not use an expired
or a passport which is due to expire for official purposes.
Please renew by or before March. Take along a copy of an offer letter from any university. Raise a
ticket in CMS under Confirmation Letter for passport renewal. These documents are compulsory to
entitle you to a student discount (only for students below 21 years of age). Passport renewal may
cost about RM 100- RM200.
