My social internship has been a life-changing experience,my NGO’s name was VIKALP and its head

quarters is in Ahemdabad ,Gujrat . Our internship mainly focused on the effects of climate change,
the pollution in mount abu, tree plantation, millet-crop and awareness.Throughout this journey, I
have had the privilege of meeting extraordinary people all around my town, listening to their
inspiring stories, and gaining practical experiences. These encounters have deeply inspired me, giving
me a greater sense of empathy and a greater commitment to social change. The highlights of my
internship is in the individuals I met throughout my work .

I found dedicated social workers, each encounter provided me with information about our wild life
and vegitation. Listening to their struggles of living in such forest life opened my eyes to the realities
that many doesnot know about. Our internship and NGO mainly focused on vegetation and local
farming around us. Practical experiences during my internship allowed me to step out of my comfort
zone and actively contribute to meaningful projects. I engaged in environmental conservation efforts.
These experiences taught me the significance of collaboration . There was not much challenges
during my internship.

One significant hurdle was overcoming the initial feeling of talking to strangers when confronted .
Witnessing the hardships faced by individuals was hard to fathom . The main challenge to face was
weather. As i live at a hillstation, there is so heavy rain fall around here and also the damages from
wiper joy strom, which wasted our entire week . Another obstacle was effectively communicating
with diverse communities.these were the primery challenges we faced during our work My
internship focused on primary education of flora and community development for farmers .

I immersed myself in projects centered around improving access to quality education for
underprivileged farmers.I learned how to create links and prepare presentations also. We also
learned talking skills, listening skills and also our local language marwadi. I also learned that how
important our environment is for all living creatures and also for vegetation . we also taught local
farmers how to sell there crops for higher price in local markets which was a big issue for them. As I
move forward in my life , I see myself making a difference by applying the lessons learned during my
internship in my daily life.

I will be more active in supporting to solve local issue and volunteering my time and skills to causes
that align with my values. In the long term, I aspire to be a part of systemic change. I believe in the
power of collaboration, and I aim to work with various stakeholders, including government agencies,
NGOs, and local communities, to create impactful and scalable interventions in future . Moreover,
this was a great experience for me as it was the first time that I worked with a NGO and also my first
experience in helping community around me and my local farmers . I am not going to forget all the
values that I learned during my journey and look forward to use these values for greater good of
community.
