mobile phones, compared with only 250 million units in 2009. Similarly, Apple
experienced a fivefold increase in revenue to reach 150 million units after four
years. Therefore, it ranked third among the most desired brands.

In contrast, a downward trend was recorded for Nokia and LG. With 440 million
devices sold in 2009, Nokia dominated th e market. Th is figure, however,
declined every two-year interval to a low of 250 million, making Nokia the
second most prevalent brand. Meanwhile, LG's total sales declined by 40
million units, ending th e year with 80 million units. Notably, ZTE remained
th e least popular mobile phone manufacturer with approximately 50 million
units sold.
