The COVID-19 pandemic helped me appreciate my creative side more.

When I was at school, having to speak up in a class of 40-45 students was a nerve racking
experience. So, whenever the teacher would be selecting students for a competition, I
would never speak up. More so, I was discouraged by my friends to participate in things
because they never did. Once the pandemic hit, and everything went online, I would
contact the teacher personally whenever the opportunity striked. As a result, I participated
in a national level science competition in my final year of highschool, and was awarded
for it too. I took up things like video editing for school events and participated in art
competitions, which I have never done before. I also had a lot of free time during the
pandemic to participate in such things and devote time to my creative side, which
wouldn’t have been possible with a normal school routine. Some may argue that
participation was harder because everything went remote, which is true. Things like
sports, dance could not be done online. I, on the other hand, tried to make the most out of
the situation by trying out new things and devoting time to my creative side.
