Narrative Report:
DIVISION SEARCH FOR OUTSTANDING READING CORNER 2022
Reading is an integral part of life. It serves as a foundation of any sort of knowledge, skills, and
expertise. Through reading, a child can explore the world through their imagination even just from the small
corners of a classroom. Thus, reading must be of great emphasis in every classroom instruction.
In connection with this sense of thought, the School’s Division of Negros Oriental, anchored with
the D.M. no. 753, s. 2022, has come up with an idea of searching for the most outstanding Reading Corner
through Division wide contest. Following standardized mechanics, any participating schools must have all
the necessary documents for qualification. That is why, Kaladias Elementary School (KES) has been
chosen as a participating school in Zamboanguita District 1, with Teacher Colyn Mae B. Macaroy’s Reading
Corner as the specified contest entry.
On November 12, 2022, Ms. Rosela R. Abiera together with the rest of the validating team arrived
at Kaladias Elementary School. Everyone from KES teaching force were also present. Prior to the
evaluation proper, the monitoring and evaluation team headed by Ms. Rose R. Abiera ask to view the video
presentation. She gave a well-versed technical assistance about do’s and don’ts, should have and should
have not been in making video presentation. Then came the moment of physical validation of the reading
corner. As expected, everyone from the group gave their appreciation to the areas they saw as worth
commending and suggestions to the areas that needs more improvement. Every thought given by each one
of them were seen to be very useful for future undertakings.
After the physical validation of the Grade 1 Reading Corner, they also decided to see each one of
the teacher’s classrooms where structuring has also been one of the main key points to enhance and work
on.
It was exactly lunch time when they had finished anything they needed to. KES teaching force
prepared the food, and the visitors ate wholeheartedly. Not long after, they decided to drive their way
downtown right after photo opportunities had been taken. And that’s the kind of Saturday worth time
dedicating for.
