Crochet hook size 10, 1.30 mm (Boye)


Crochet hook size 12, 1 mm (Boye)
Polyester filling
Sewing needle
Hot glue gun

Gauge is not important for this project.

Stitch Guide

round – rnd, stitch(es) – st(s), single crochet – sc, half double crochet – hdc, slip stitch – sl st,
increase – inc, decrease – dec, back loop only – BLO, front loop only – FLO, chain - ch

Notes

The ch-1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch.

Connect each round with a slip stitch unless otherwise specified.

The back side of the doll is where you slip stitch to join rounds.
INSTRUCTIONS – PART 1: LEGS AND BODY

Legs x 2
Start by making the boots with Color B. Remember to join each rnd with a sl st and ch 1. And
stuff the boots and legs as you go.
Rnd 1: mr, ch 1 and 8 sc – 8 sts
Rnd 2: inc – 16 sts
Rnd 3: (3sc, inc) x 4 – 20 sts
Rnds 4 – 5: 20 sts
Optional: You may cut out two small circles to fit in the bottom of the shoe. I used the lid of a
yogurt container.
Rnd 6: (3sc, dec) x 4 – 16 sts
Rnds 7 – 9: 16 sts
Rnd 10: 16 sts in FLO
Fasten off. Now continue in the BLO of round 10 with color A.
Rnd 10: 16 sc
Rnd 11: dec – 8 sts
Rnds 12 – 14: 8 sts
Fasten off leg 1. Make the 2nd leg but do not cut the thread after finishing round 14. Continue
with the body from that round.
Body
Continue with Color A. Don’t forget to join each round with a slip stitch and ch 1. Stuff firmly
as you go.
Rnd 1: 6 sc, ch 4 and connect to the 3rd st of the other leg.
8 sc and 1 sc in each chain stitch; 1 sc in the last two sts of the other leg
You will have 24 sts after this round.

Rnds 2 – 5: 24 sts
Rnd 6: (4sc, dec) x 4 – 20 sts
Rnd 7: (3 sc, dec) x 4 – 16 sts
Rnds 8 – 10: 16 sts
Rnd 11: (2sc, dec) x 4 – 12 sts
Rnd 12: (sc, dec) x 4 – 8 sts
Rnd 13: sc in BLO
Leave a long tail for sewing. Fasten off.
INSTRUCTIONS – PART 2: ARMS

Arms x 2
Crochet the arms with Color A.
Rnd 1: mr, ch 1 and 7 sc – 7 sts
Rnds 2 – 12: 7 sts
Chain 1. Press the two sides of the open end together and crochet them together with 3 sc. Cut
the thread leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the arms on round 11 of the body.

INSTRUCTIONS – PART 3: DRESS


With Color C, start the dress in the back of round 13 of the body where you crocheted in the
BL earlier. Join each round with a slip stitch.
Rnd 1: inc in FL – 16 sts
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x 8 – 24 sts
Rnd 3: (2sc, inc) x 8 – 32 sts
Rnd 4: (3 sc, inc) x 8 – 40 sts
Rnds 5 – 6: 40 sc
Mark 7 sts of the dress to the side, right above each arm. We will use those sts later to make
the sleeves.
Rnd 7: sc until you get to the 7 sts you marked earlier. Make 7 ch and sk the 7 sts. 1 sc in next.
NOTE: make sure the chain goes below the arm. We will use the BL of the chain to make the
sleeves later.
Continue crocheting until you get to the other 7 sts you marked for the sleeve. Make 7 ch and
skip the 7 sts. Sc in next. This chain should also go under the arm.
Sc until the end of rnd 7.
You should have 14 ch sts and 26 sts.
Rnd 8: 40 sc. Crochet in the FL of the chain
Rnds 9 – 13: 40 sc
Rnd 14: (7 sc, inc) x 5 – 45 sts
Rnd 7: sc until you get to the 7 sts you marked earlier. Make 7 ch and sk the 7 sts. 1 sc in next.
Rnd 15: (8 sc, inc) x 5 – 50 sts
NOTE: make sure the chain goes below the arm. We will use the BL of the chain to make the
sleeves later.
Continue crocheting until you get to the other 7 sts you marked for the sleeve. Make 7 ch and
skip the 7 sts. Sc in next. This chain should also go under the arm.
Sc until the end of rnd 7.
You should have 14 ch sts and 26 sts.
Rnd 8: 40 sc. Crochet in the FL of the chain
Rnds 9 – 13: 40 sc
Rnd 14: (7 sc, inc) x 5 – 45 sts
Rnd 15: (8 sc, inc) x 5 – 50 sts
Rnd 16: 50 sc
Rnd 17: (9 sc, inc) x 5 – 55 sts
Rnd 18: (10 sc, inc) x 8 – 60 sts
Rnd 19: 60 sc
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Sleeves x 2:
With Color C, start each sleeve in the 4th ch st (under the arm). Join rnds with a sl st.
For rnd 1, crochet in each ch st and st including the 2 side sts from when you were making the
dress.
You should have 16 sts in rnd 1.
Rnd 2: 16 sts
Rnd 3: (6 sc, dec) x 2 – 14 sts
Rnd 4: 14 sts
Rnd 5: (5 sc, dec) x 2 – 12 sts
Rnd 6: 12 sts
Rnd 7: (4 sc, dec) x 2 – 10 sts
Rnd 8: 10 sc
Rnd 9: (3 sc, dec) x 2 – 8 sts
Rnd 10: 8 sc
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
INSTRUCTIONS – PART 4: HEAD, HAT, AND SCARF

Head:
With color A, start the head, join each rnd with a slip st.
Rnd 1: mr, ch 1 and 10 sc
Rnd 2: inc – 20 sts
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 10 – 30 sts
Rnd 4 – 9: 30 sc
Sew the eyes with Color B on rnd 8, 6 sts apart.
Rnd 10: (sc, dec) x 10 – 20 sc
Stuff the head firmly.
Rnd 11: dec – 10 sc
Fasten off.
Hat:
Make the hat with Color C. Join each rnd with sl st.
Rnd 1: mr, ch 1, 6 sc – 6 sts
Rnd 2: 6 sts
Rnd 3: (2 sc, inc) x 2 – 8 sts
Rnd 4: inc – 16 sts
Rnd 5: (sc, inc) x 8 – 24 sts
Rnd 6: 24 sts
Rnd 7: (2 sc, inc) x 8 – 32 sts
Rnd 8: (3 sc, inc) x 8 – 40 sts
Rnd 9: (4 sc, inc) x 8 – 48 sts
Rnds 10 – 16: 48 sts
Rnd 17: (4 sc, dec) x 8 – 40 sts
Rnd 18: sl st – 40 sts
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the hat lightly with polyfil. Push the head inside the hat and sew the hat to the head. I
sewed the hat right above the eyes.
Sew the head to the body.
Scarf:
With Color D and 1 mm hook, chain 6. Chain 2 and turn after each row.
Row 1: 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 3 hdc – 4 sts
Rows 2 – 36: 4 hdc
Fasten off and weave in the ends. Put the scarf around the doll’s neck and glue.

Scarf:
With Color D and 1 mm hook, chain 6. Chain 2 and turn after each row.
Row 1: 1 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 3 hdc – 4 sts
Rows 2 – 36: 4 hdc
Fasten off and weave in the ends. Put the scarf around the doll’s neck and glue.
