II. RATIONALE:

People’s lives are stimulated and made healthier and more energized by nature. In
addition to making cities more attractive and livable, the incorporation of trees into urban
livability offers residents of urban areas a variety of advantages. A healthy urban forest requires
adequate design, upkeep, awareness, resource allocation, and community involvement, all of
which require ongoing commitment.

As a result of trees removing moisture from the soil, less water contributes to flash flood
episodes. As tree roots penetrate the earth, they make tiny openings into which rainwater pours
rather than allowing it to wash off the land. The soil is also kept in place by the root system,
preventing valuable and nutrient-rich topsoil from being washed into rivers and streams, which
can lead to flooding during periods of severe rains. Raindrops that fall on leaves either evaporate
immediately into the air, slowing the flow of water, or drip onto the ground more gently, causing
less erosion.

Preparing an emergency food supply is a critical component of being prepared for

catastrophes and natural disasters. It can not only reduce anxiety and annoyance during a crisis,
but it can also guarantee that you and your family have enough to eat if food is scarce.
 This extension project is proposed to pursue the advocacy of this institution with its
partner alumni of conveying help amidst the problems brought by the calamities.

III. OBJECTIVES:

To raise an inclusive awareness of the civic duties and responsibilities to the community and
citizens.

Specifically, it aims to:

1. Increase the dedication of students and alumni to civic duties;

2. Advocate a clean and green environment;
3. Help in giving ease to the affected residents of disaster and/or calamities;
4. Promote cooperation and camaraderie amongst people; and
5. Uphold kindness and solidarity amongst the people.

Conduct of the extension - The students and alumni and faculty from CCJE
activity of MCC with partner law enforcement agencies
will community outreach programs.
