    Writing Process Worksheets

     
    For the Teacher
     
    The Writing Process Worksheets are step-by-step guides that students can use to
    complete the writing tasks in the Student’s Book. The worksheets for Units 1–5 include
    explanation and practice of punctuation and capitalization rules in addition to the writing
    activity. The remaining worksheets introduce the writing process by including a
    prewriting activity to generate ideas and a Feedback Checklist for peer feedback and
    editing. You can choose to do both activities or either one alone.
     
    Encourage students to revise their writing and to see writing as a process in which they
    improve what they’ve written with each draft. Focus on the expression of ideas. Save
    correction of errors for the final draft.

    Within the Teacher’s Edition and Lesson Planner, the icon along with the note “Writing
    Process Worksheets” indicates the suggested point of use for the worksheets.
