Dear Mrs Akello,
I am currently a student who has been following the recent developments and changes in the
National Library, especially the digitisation of records and books, which has propelled the
library’s services and access has now expanded past the physical building and is now available to
all Kenyans from virtually anywhere in the Country. I am writing this to ask you to consider
adding the role of a web developer to help in modifying and managing the library’s website.
Having majored in web design and management, I believe that I would be a great addition to
your great team. I have previously worked in fast paced environments; I am well trained in
management and systematics of a frequently visited website and fixing all the technical errors on
a time crunch. I am highly motivated and excited to join your team as a web developer when the
opportunity arises.
