ORGANISATIONAL/COMPANY BACKGROUND

Hickey Trucking (Pvt) LTD

HISTORY
In 2014 Hickey Trucking Private Limited w is a transport company established in 2014 under the laws of
Zimbabwe. The primary purpose of the transport business is the transportation of containers, bagged and break
bulk loads from various sites around the sadc region. Currently operating from Harare Zimbabwe, the business
owns a fleet of trucks and trailers that are able to transport containers and bulk loads or bagged loads to various
sites.

OUR BUSINESS OBJECTIVES

To provide an efficient transportation and engineering solution to our customers.
To expand our current fleet to accommodate the growing needs of transport and engineering business.
To provide a safe working environment for staff and associated business partners.
To promote business success through the ethos of service, dedication and integrity.

The principal purpose partners are Freddy Hickey, Christine Hickey.

This dynamic team brings together wealth experience from a business and professional perspective. The focus of
the team is to provide excellent service to our customers all of the time, we do not celebrate mediocrity and
strive for excellence in every aspect of the transport industry. Both principals have vast experience in the service
industry and the knowledge gained in this environment affords the business an advantage in terms of providing
service excellence. Management has previous experience in the transport industry managing a fleet of vehicles
and drivers. The drivers have between them twenty years of experience driving various forms of horse and trailer
vehicles.

innovation of Hickey Trucking Private Limited people.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
Hickey Trucking is committed to providing an absolutely work environment for its employees and those who
visit our sites. The principles of the company’s health and safety management are:
Our aim is to have no accidents. Every accident has a cause and action can be taken to prevent recurrence.
Staff involvement –all employees are involved in the building of their health and safety systems and
environment.
Provide Training to all employees to ensure that they can carry out their given tasks.
Accurate information- we need to have information about our performance. To this and we shall ensure that we
have the systems and mechanisms to obtain accurate and timely information and act accordingly.
Compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and safe operating procedures.
Hickey Trucking shall continually improve its Health and Safety performance with the aim of minimizing
accidents on its scope of activities.
Fleet
Hickey Trucking Has a fleet compliment of Five Haulage trucks with thirty tonne carrying capacity of trailers
which are very reliable in reaching any destination within the SADC region and have a fully fitted workshop
with trained professionals available to keep our trucks and trailers in top performance and have a long trouble
free life.

We are open at 7:00 am till 17:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 16:00pm on Friday
