Subject: Letter of contract: Manager – Civil Consultant

Dear Mr. Habib Khan

We have the pleasure to confirm that you have been appointed to the position of Manager – Civil
Consultant in Bijoy IT & Co. with effect from August 1, 2021 subject to the following.

Duration & Terms of employment:

You have been appointed from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2023. This appointment will be governed
by the Human Resource Manual and other relevant rules and regulations of BITC.

Probation Period:
The first 6 (Six) months of your appointment will be considered as probation period. Subject to
satisfactory evaluation of your performance during the probation period your appointment will be
confirmed.

Duties:
Your duties will be consistent with the attached Job Description.

Place of Employment:
Your place of employment will be at BITC Dhaka Head Office However, you may be transferred to
any office or project of BITC as management deems appropriate.

Remuneration/ Salary:
Your consolidated salary will be Tk. 38,500.00 (Thirty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred) only per
month broken down as follows:

Basic Salary TK 20,000.00

Housing Allowance Tk 11.000.00
Transportation Allowance Tk 3,500.00
Medical Allowance Tk 4,000.00

Benefits:
You will be entitled to the benefits as laid down in the Human Resource Manual of BITC and other
relevant provisions as may be determined from time to time by the Board.

Annual Holiday and holiday pay:

You are entitled to 24 days earned leave (at the rate of 2 days per month) per year. A maximum of
50% (12 days) of leave earned in a calendar year can be enchased. Such encashment will be on total
EL balance for the calendar year. Encashment will be on the basis of basic salary as of 31 December
of the year of leave earning. You may opt for non-encashment of your leave in which case the leave
will be added to your accumulated balance of up to 60 days in the whole period of employment.

You shall be entitled to casual leave with full pay for 15 (fifteen) days in a year. This leave shall not
be granted for more than 3 (three) consecutive days at a time except exceptional cases approved by
Executive Director.

Tax Deduction:
BITC will deduct tax at source from your monthly salary as per the income tax ordinance of the
Government of Bangladesh

Life & Health Insurance:

You will be considered under Life & Health Insurance policy of BITC subject to the relevant rules in
this regard.

Termination:
After joining BITC, you may terminate the service contract to a notice period of one month or
payment of 30 days gross salary in lieu of notice period. During probation notice period for such
termination is 7 days. BITC may terminate your service contract at any time without showing any
reason subject to the same notice period.

Code of Ethics:
This appointment is being offered with the understanding that you have read the Code of Ethics of
BITC and committed to strictly uphold it. It is also understood that all information you have provided
as part of documentation for appointment in BITC are accurate and authentic, any proven lack of
which will be treated as violation of the Code of Ethics.

Moral Turpitude/Misconduct:
BITC will have the right to dismiss you from service if you are convicted of any offence involving
moral turpitude, or found guilty of violating the BITC Code of Ethics.

Collateral Agreement:
This contract states in full the conditions of your employment Any collateral agreement with any
other institution or individual and/or any supplementary arrangements that you might make shall only
be valid if confirmed by us in writing.

Please confirm your acceptance of this contract by signing both copies of this contract and return one
copy to the Human Resource Unit of BITC.
