MUSIC COMMENTS TERM 1 2022

GRADE1

1. PAUL GELDENHUYS follows and gives answers in Music with confidence. He


can perform rhythms and melodies using claps.He can draw the G- clef and knows
the sounds of the music notes we covered this term.          
GRADE-A. EFFORT - 1

2. TAMMO REDELIGX is beginning to sing more expressively, demonstrating some


understanding of the meaning of the words. He can play the notes G B A on the
recorder however, he still has licking fingers.  
GRADE-B. EFFORT -2

3. JAYMINE SIMUTOWE actively, participates in his music lessons. He can name


the music notes we covered and demonstrate the rhythm using claps. He can sing in
tune and draw a G clef. Well done Jaymine
GRADE-A. EFFORT -1
 
4. POSHA NAKAUNDI is beginning to sing in tune. She is demonstrating some
understanding of the sounds of the music notes. She can identify the G-Clef however,
she needs to be helped on the names of the music notes we covered
GRADE-C. EFFORT -3

5. AWAIT ZIMBA can sing very well. She uses her voice with control and in tune.
She is always actively participating in music and can draw the G-Clef. She knows the
sounds for the quavers and crotchets. Well done Await
GRADE-A. EFFORT -1 

6. ALEXANDER NIEUWOULDT is working on controlling his voice and singing in


tune. He can explain the G-Clef. However, still has challenges with some identifying
the Minim and Semi breve.

7. SHIREL CHILUBWA is always positive about Music.She is working on voice


control and singing in tune. She can name a G-Clef. However, she needs help on the
music notes.
GRADE-C. EFFORT -3 

8. MANSON DELANGE can sing some parts of the songs we covered this term. He
is working on voice control and singing in tune. He can name the G-Clef however, he
needs to be assisted on the music notation.

9. ELLIOT SICHILONGO is working on how to effectively hear the pitch in a song.


He can name the G-Clef however, needs assistance on the sound of the music note
and the beats.

GRADE2

1. MADELINE BENBOW has achieved excellent musicianship techniques. She is


developing a remarkable piano touch that makes her sound different. She works really
had when exposed to new music challenges. She can draw G and F Clefs. Well done
Madeline.

2. BRDAR NOAH uses his voice with confidence and control. He can identify the
sounds and names of the music notes we covered this term. He can draw the G-Clef
and explain why its called a G-Clef.

3.INONGE MULEMWA is always engaged in her Music lessons. Her passion for
singing is very remarkable. She can take parts in singing round and as a soloist.
However, she need to work on the licking fingers on the recorder. Good job Inonge.

4.CHIPANGO ASTRIDAH actively participates in music. she is singing more


expressively, demonstrating some understanding of the meaning of the words and can
perform rhythms and melodies using claps. Well done Astridah

5.ZYRAH PABHOO actively participates in music. She can explain why the music
clefs are called G-Clef and F Clef respectively. Her sight reading is steadily
developing on the piano. She can tell the beats and sounds of the notes we covered

1.JASPER SNELL is fantastic on the piano. He confidently performs very well as an
individual and in a group on the piano and recorder. He has excellent understanding
of the music clefs, notation and the time signature we covered this term. Well done

2.JAYDEN CORSINI is always engaged in his music lesson. He is able to explain


what the top and the bottom number mean on the time signature. He has go
understanding of the music notes. He is beginning to control his voice during singing
and is steadily developing on the recorder.

3. NIEL GELDENHUYS can sing very well. He plays the recorder with control and
a good sound. He is always excited about leaning Music. He can confidently draw the
music clefs and the staff and identify the sounds of the music notes we covered. Well

4.MAHI PATEL always listens carefully and sings from memory. She has good voice
control. She understands how to use her head and chest voices. She can add notes in a

Her sight-reading skills on the recorder and the piano have improved a great deal. She

bars using the time signature and explain the music clefs. She is steadily developing

performance. She is passionate about singing and demonstrating the ability to sing as

recorder. He can explain the differences between the Music notes we covered and
sings very well from memory.

1.ABIGAIL BENBOW has an excellent understanding of how to play a recorder


effectively. She can recall several facts about clefs, music notes and staff notation.
She can distribute the notes in a bar using a time signature.she is steadily developing

2.CHATOWA MOYO actively participates in music. She is developing great voice


control. She can explain the music clefs and the sounds of the music notes we
covered. She has develop excellent tongueing skills on the recorder which makes her

can add the crotchet beats in a bar using a time signature. He can explain the music

voice control and can easily pick the change in pitch. She has developed good sound

8.MALUBA HABASIMBI has a fantastic voice. She can confidently performs very
well as an individual and in a group. She has excellent understanding of the clefs,

9.AIDAN VAN EEDE is beginning working on controlling his voice. He can name
the g clef and an f clef. He needs help on the music notation, the sound and the beats
of the notes.

10.NAMOONGA NYANGA can recall facts about the time signature. She can can
identify some different instruments within a piece of music. She sings very well. She
can play the notes we covered on the recorder this term however, she still has some
licking fingers on some notes. Well done Namonga

11.VIVAN PATEL is working on how to effectively hear the pitch in a song. He can
recall facts about some Music notes. He can draw the F and G clef. He can play the
recorder. However, he need to work on the licking finger on some notes.

12.FINN BARNETT. actively participates in music. He is steadily improving on the


recorder and voice control. He can add notes into bars using a time signature and
explain the music clefs. He is greatly improving on the piano however, he needs to be
encouraged to always sight read the music. Well done Finn

1.EMIL SABAG is outstanding on the music notes we covered. He can easily identify
the music clefs and add notes into bars using time signature. He is beginning to sing
some songs however, is working on controlling his voice. Well done Emil

2.EMILY NZALA is working on how to effectively hear the pitch in a song. He can
recall facts about some music clefs. She can play the notes A B G C and D on a
recorder however, she need to work on the licking finger.

4. ATHARVA AVINASH actively participates in his Music. He sings expressively,
demonstrating a deeper understanding of the meaning of the words. He can distribute
notes in a bar given quaver or crotchet time signature and has a great understanding of
his music staff. Good job Atharva

4.ESTHER LUSAKA confidently sings from memory.She can control her voice very
well. She has developed on recorder a great deal and can play the guitar well. She can
explain the facts about the music clefs and the time signature. Well done Esther

5.JAKE VAN EEDE actively participates in music and can confidently add the music
notes into bars using a time signature. He can sing the songs from memory however is
still working on controlling his voice. Well done Jake

6.ANGELIQUE has a pretty good voice when singing however, she is working on
singing in tune and control of the voice. she can explain the time signature and the
music clefs. She confidently contributes in Music and is steadily improving on the

7.LEON recognizes and copies a change in pitch and uses his voice with confidence
and control. He can name the G and F clefs and clap the beats of a crotchet quaver
and a semibreve. He is steadily improving on the piano and a recorder. Well done

1.MAYA SABAG can confidently sight-read the sheet music on the recorder. She can
explain how a piece of music makes her feel concerning musical elements. Her
singing is steadily developing. She can explain the bottom and the top numbers on the

2.SHOMA HABASIMBI actively participates in his Music. He sings expressively,


demonstrating a deeper understanding of the meaning of the words. He can explain

on the piano and the recorder. She is a pretty good singer with a well develop voice

signature. He has made steady progress in singing however, still needs help on how
to sing in tune through. He can draw the music clefs.

9.NATHAN DENE BIRD Enjoys singing the songs that he knows. He can play the
notes we covered on a recorder however, he needs to be encouraged to read the sheet
music. He can explain some facts on the times signature. Well done Nathan

10.ELIJAH MOYO can name some of the music notes and explain some facts about
the time signature. He is a good singer with a great voice control. He has the ability to
easily sing from memory. He needs to work on the letter names on the music staff.

sounds and their beats. He can confidently distribute the crotchet and quaver time
signature using different music notes. He is steadily improving in singing . Good job
