Environmental Policy Formulation

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• In the context of your chosen organization in the earlier task performance, formulate a new and
original environmental policy.
• Conduct a PESTEL Analysis. Critically analyze the business environment of your firm and cite
opportunities for the company to minimize or eliminate its environmental impacts, where
applicable. Again, copy-pasted content is UNACCEPTABLE.
• Research for the existing environmental policy of your firm. You may find this information on the
company’s website or other platforms that offer related data. In rare cases that this information
is not available online, simply skip the policy review requirement.
• Critically review the environmental policy of your chosen firm. Then, decide and justify if the policy
addresses the applicable key organizational areas and reflects the foundations and components
of an effective environmental policy.
• In case the environmental policy failed to meet the criterion above, formulate a new
environmental policy using applicable objectives (i.e., energy, purchasing and supply, waste,
transport, etc.).
• In case the policy reflects or exceeds the given criterion, design an updated environmental policy
(citing opportunities for improvement in other business areas) for your chosen organization.
• Note that the printed environmental policy must be submitted along with this activity sheet (for
online modality, submit a soft copy of the document via eLMS dropbox).
