4. Realism - Focuses on reality

Basic Elements of arts

Line
- It is a mark with length and direction
- one -dimensional
Types of line
- Horizontal suggests feeling of rest or repose, give sense of space
- Vertical line communicates as sense of height
- diagonal
- Zigzag conveys action and excitement,restlessness and anxiety
- Straight or curve has pleasing, sensual quality and a softening effect
- Think or thin
Shape and Form
- Shape is 2 dimension while form is 3 dimension
- Shape is only width and height while form also has width and height but it also has depth
- Shape is not tangible while form is tangible

Space
- Feeling of depth or three dimensions
- Occupied by the object is the positive space
- The non-occupied is the negative space

Color
-is what we can see around us. How light behaves.
- Color can be describe into two which is warm and cool color

Warm and Color

- warm is a light color. Emotions used are hope, good vibes, etc.
-cool is a dark color. Emotion used sad, lonely, mysterious

intensity= purity of the color or strength of a color

value= light and darkness/ it is a color that is mix with white and black color to create moods

Texture
- What you can feel on an object whenever you touch it
- Smoothness, roughness, and softness.
- Imaginary texture tricks your eyes that make it tangible but not.
