pRRU3911 Description 1 Introduction

1 Introduction

The pRRU processes RF signals as follows:

 Performs digital-to-analog conversion on the baseband signals received from the BBU,
up-converts these baseband signals to the transmit frequency band using the zero IF
technology, filters and amplifies these signals, and sends them to the antenna for
transmission over the transmit channel.
 Receives the RF signals from the antenna over the receive channel, down-converts these
RF signals to baseband signals, filters and amplifies these baseband signals, and sends
them to the BBU for processing.

The CPRI data can be transmitted over Ethernet cables.

The pRRU3911 supports the following:
 Internal or external antennas
 PoE
 Flexible multimode and multi-frequency band configurations

1.2 Physical Ports

Figure 1-2 shows the physical ports on the pRRU3911.

Figure 1-2 Ports the pRRU3911

Table 1-1 describes the ports on the pRRU3911.

Table 1-1 Ports on the pRRU3911

Port Description

PoE A PoE port connected to the RHUB. This port is used to transmit CPRI
CPRI_E0 data between the RHUB and the pRRU.

The PoE silkscreen indicates that the CPRI_E0 port supports the PoE power
supply.

CPRI_E1 A non-PoE port connected to the RHUB. This port is used to transmit
CPRI data between the RHUB and the pRRU.

Use for anti-theft of the pRRU3911 Anti-theft locks are not delivered,
and they must be prepared by customers if required.
