The dilemma of the Anak Movie is their communication to each other is not every day or occasionally

only once or no conversation at all to talk about what happens in their life, they’re not expressing
feelings or not showing love because of lack of communication and letting each of them know the
reasons why would their mother leave. The mother or Vilma santos didn’t explain comprehensively to
her children why is she leaving which is to earn a high-paying job out of the country to sustain their
needs and also her oldest daughter felt the sense of responsibility to take over their mothers
responsibility since their mother left, they have not felt the love and care of a mother and it seems that
the responsibility has been passed on to her even though she was very young then. Her oldest daughter
has lack of understanding of what her mother needs to do in order o provide them their wants and
needs even though lack of love and care of a mother is in change or replacement of that decision. The
movie shows the struggles of Vilma santos on making a hard decisions for her family and it shows the
effort of a mother just to sustain the needs of her family.
