IDENTIFICATION OF PARTS OF SPEECH

1. Stella had always been terrified of running across the cats at night because

she couldn't stand the ghastly sight of their eyes glowing at night which

had the escalating power of holding people spell bound, sending chills

through their bodies and making them shiver with anxiety.

2. Her fears arose when her brother brought a cat in their house and kept it as

a pet.

3. She was sick with worry and avoided all sorts of encounter with the cat at

night.
4. But her life had been plotting something different for her as a great

adventure befell on her when one day she came face-to-face with that cat

in the dark.

5. Stella didn't dare going into the garage at night because her brother had the

habit of keeping the cat there when it was the time of his beauty sleep.

6. The cat roamed freely in the garage, did meowing non-stop and slept when

it was exhausted.

7. One night, Stella got to know that she had left her diary in the car by

mistake.
8. Her stomach was in knots as she dreaded going in the garage to bring her

diary back from the car.

9. She was in dire need of her diary and as she couldn't sleep without jotting

down her thoughts in it.

10. Muttering prayers, she cautiously stepped in the garage and made a

dash towards her car but the cat quickly came in front of her, making the

horrifying eye contact with her, blocking her way and preventing her to

approach the car.

11. She was all alone with that cat in the prevailing darkness and it was

staring at her with its gleaming eyes.

12. Stella tried to look away and avoid the cat but failed as it was persistent

to haunt her and paralyze her with her bright wicked eyes.

13. Its eyes were shining brightly and looked mystifying like they were con

ceiling many secrets and wouldn't unfold them even on anybody's probing

and insistence.

14. When she looked into the cat's eyes, she felt like she was being carried

away to a peculiar and enigmatic world, shrouded with secrets.

15. Stella mistakenly stepped over the bowl of milk which belonged to the

cat and brought misery upon her.

16. The cat glared at her viciously and started yowling and meowing in a

high-pitched voice, fully intent on seeking revenge.

17. Frightened to death, she was speculating what to do and was looking

around for some sort of weapon when her eyes fell on the wall mounted

key holder and she hit upon a beyond brilliant idea.

18. Soon, the car horns started blaring, jolting the cat and making it flinch

with fright.

19. Heaving a big sigh of relief, Stella approached the car, went inside and

picked up her diary.

20. Full of vivacity, she giggled as she thought how the cat almost deluded

her into believing that she would never succeed in distracting the cat and

getting her diary back.
