INTRODUCTION TO BIG-IP F5

BIG-IP F5 LTM is an Application Domain Controller that manages the Delivery of

the Applications and services.
BIG-IP F5 can be deployed and used as Physical hardware or in Virtual machine or
in Cloud environment.
F5 has a special operating system known as TMOS (Traffic Management Operating
System)
TMOS has unified intelligence, flexibility and strong programmability that makes F5
a most powerful platform.
F5 has multiple modules that are designed to fulfill each requirement as below:

LTM (Local Traffic Manager)

GTM (Global Traffic Manager)

ASM ( Application Security Manager) or WAF (Web Application Firewall)

APM (Access Policy Manager)
