and curve C , where F = (x + y)i − (x2 + y 2 )j and C : The triangle bounded by y = 0, x = 1 and
y = x.
2) Find the outward flux of the field F = (3xy − 1+y x
2 )i + (e
x
+ tan−1 y)j across the cardioid
r = a(1 + cos θ), a > 0.

3) Apply Green’s theorem to evaluate the integral C (3x2 − 8y 2 )dx + (4y − 6xy)dy.

C : The boundary of the triangle formed by the lines x = 0, y = 0, x + y = 1.

4)For this problem , use a parametrization to express the area of the surface as double integral and
evaluate the integral.
Circular Cylinder Band—— The portion of the cylinder x2 +z 2 = 10 between the plane z = 1 and z = 4.

5) In this problem , find equation of the plane tangent to the surface at P0 .Then find Cartesian
equation of the surface and sketch the surface and tangent plane together.
Hemisphere—— The hemisphere surface √ r(φ,
√ θ)√= (4 sin φ cos θ)i + (4 sin φ sin θ)j + (4 cos φ)k,
0 ≤ φ ≤ π2 , 0 ≤ θ ≤ 2π at the point P0 ( 2, 2, 2) corresponding to (φ, θ) = ( π4 , π6 ).

6) Find the area of the region cut from the plane x + 2y + 2z = 5 by the cylinder whose walls are
x = y 2 and x = 2 − y 2 .

7)The triangle cut from the plane 2x + 6y + 3z = 6 by the bounding planes of first octant .Calculate
the area in three ways ,using different explicit form.

8) Integrate G(x, y, z) = x (y 2 + 4) over the surface cut from the parabolic cylinder y 2 + 4z = 16

9) Find the flux of the field F (x, y, z) = 4xi + 4yj + 2k outward (away from -z axis) through the
surface cut from the bottom of the paraboloid z = x2 + y 2 by the plane z = 1.
