Dear Parent/Guardian of ALEX ROBLES, Site Resources

Our District's Learn.Plan.Succeed. (LPS) initiative is designed to help all students achieve success beyond high school.
School Counselors
This LPS progress report is customized to provide you with an overview of your child's progress towards meeting graduation
requirements, identifying educational priorities, and setting career goals.
Socorro Rivera

Here are some questions to consider as you discuss this progress report with your child:
Michael Horton
• (Page 1) Is your child interested in the colleges that have been identified as their "Match" colleges? mdhorton@cps.edu
• (Page 2) How is your child doing in the classes required for them to graduate?
• (Page 3) Has your child met with their counselor to talk about their next steps?
• (Page 3) Has your child reviewed the "Prepare for College Checklist"?
• (Page 4) Is your child interested in any of the potential careers that have been identified for them?

Your child's school can support your family as you determine their plan for after high school. Consider taking these next steps:

• STEP 1: Attend a parent-teacher conference or reach out to your child's school counselor to better understand how the
information in this report impacts their options for the future. Consider asking the following questions:
• Is my child on track to meet their graduation requirements?
• How can my child pursue opportunities to continue to progress academically?
• What options are available for my child after high school graduation?
• How will my child meet the LPS graduation requirement?
• STEP 2: Utilize Naviance - the official college and career readiness platform used at CPS. Through this site, students can
learn about careers, research colleges, communicate with counselors and request school transcripts. Students can use
their CPS username and password to log into CPS.edu/Naviance.
• STEP 3: If your child has an IEP/504 Plan, attend their IEP/504 meetings to explore transition programming options.
Transition programming should be reflected in your child's IEP and transition plan.
• STEP 4: Research and apply for scholarships using Academic Works at cps.academicworks.com.

We thank you for playing an active role in your child's education and wish you and your entire family continued success this
school year.

Sincerely,

Pedro Martinez Bogdana Chkoumbova
