how to improve your

habits?
Be clear about what
your goal is.
The first thing to keep in mind when setting a new
purpose is to specify very well what we want to
achieve and why we want it. Set a realistic
goal.
If the goal is too high and changes our pace of life
too drastically, it is quite likely that we will end up
abandoning it.
Plan when and how we are going to
carry out the new habit.
It is important to establish the time of the day that
we are going to dedicate to try to achieve our goals
and how we are going to do it.

Establish the means or resources that will

allow us to achieve it.
It is essential to take into account the resources we will
need to achieve our objectives, the material we will require, if
we will need a specific space to carry it out or if we need to
count on some external help.
And finally choose small rewards that we
can give ourselves as we get closer to our
goal.
Positive reinforcement is essential when we want to establish a new habit,
as it increases our motivation and the probability of maintaining the
behavior over time.
The environment also has
an influence.
Even following these main
recommendations, we also
have to analyze whether the
type of goal we have set for
ourselves may be conditioned
by external factors beyond our
control, such as our close ones
and their lifestyle.
We have all heard the theory that it
takes 21 days to establish a habit,
but is this myth or reality?
Bearing in mind that there are many
aspects that may differ, a group of
psychologists point out that "the
formation of a new habit is not something
so simple and more studies are required
to determine whether there is really an
average time to acquire it, depending on
several variables such as the degree of
motivation and commitment or the
difficulty of the task".
