TIR No. 071 TIR Title: Data required for ”Fuel Gas Plant”
We request for the following information to be used for the design of the regulation skid that belongs to
the "Fuel Gas Plant”:
• Fuel gas flow during the start of the turbine.
• Minimum fuel gas inlet pressure during the star of the turbine.
• Fuel gas speed that is required to blow down the piping and the fuel gas plant all the way up to
the turbine fuel gas system connection.
Minimum fuel gas inlet pressure during the start of the turbine
The required range of fuel gas pressure is 495 psig to 585 psig at Terminal Point [C]. This pressure
range must be maintained under all ambient and operating conditions, including starting. See the
fuel gas specification included in the Contract for additional requirements.
Fuel gas speed that is required to blow down the piping and the fuel gas plant all the way up to the
turbine fuel gas system connection.
Siemens policy does not support fuel gas blows as a method of cleaning the fuel gas piping because
of safety risks involved with such a procedure. Other methods of cleaning the piping via nitrogen
or compressed air blows are recommended. Velocity requirements should be provided by the
piping designer.
