Dear Ma’am,
I am glad to know that my internship report is going to be submitted, which consists of my
story of what occurred during my internship period at Unico IT Ltd., Banani, Dhaka. I worked there
as an Executive Laravel Developer, besides this I had done lots of official work, managing office
websites and clients’ requirements. Sometimes I had to handle the official portal. So, with all the
knowledge that I gained from American International University-Bangladesh during my
undergraduate period, I applied all things there. Actually, Unico IT Ltd. is related to the IT sector and
they do not have much IT infrastructure but what they have for this they need some developers, and I
was not the only person who worked as an intern. They have 3 interns as a developer. I had to work
with clients’ requirements as like as make an e-commerce site. After that, sometimes I had to work
for their website development, update portal details, and upload new documents on websites. My
internship period was from 1st March to 30th Ma.. In this period of work assigned to me, I tried to do
those things sincerely and appropriately.
Hopefully ,I will find this internship report as accepted and it illustrates my competence to deliver
report writing depending on ‘Internship Experience’.

and got advices directly from Moniruzzaman Talukder, Director, Unico IT Limited. Here, daily
reporting along with mental and professional support enhances my experience in the internship life.

At last, my situation is like the blessed and happiest people in the world. Because, I have already
completed my internship, and that is done under one of the most prestigious people and his team in
the industry. If I had not understood, then they always elucidate me through hands-on practice. Then

 INTRODUCTION

1.1. Rationale
An internship is a thing that provides a taste of a job or professional life during student life,
whenever anyone attends an internship at that time they have almost completed their
graduation. An internship is like an opportunity to fit into a career before anybody joins any
job. My university curriculum has been designed as student-friendly. So that everyone must
apply their knowledge at their workspace before completing their graduation, and this is
assuring that students are now prepared to enter the industry or professional life. An
internship is working like a bridge between academic life and professional life. This report
consists of my personal experience which I faced during my internship and learned from
there. It should have some positive impact on future readers of this report, and take some
precautions before graduation. In professional life, individuals deal with real-life problems
and try to solve them wisely. During my internship, every day there was a new agenda and
employees will accomplish it at the end of the day. When I did my internship, I just went
there to discover the IT sector, and I saw that employees were doing the toughest job and
everyone had their own struggles. Lastly, this report will have shown my struggles,
experiences, and opportunities.

1.2 Background

I am a student at American International University-Bangladesh and I had taken my 3

credit internship this semester. I accomplished my internship at Unico IT Ltd. This company
started its journey in Bangladesh in 2023 they are mostly a startup company but they have
other experience. They have construction, export-import, travel agencies, and a lot of
business here in Bangladesh and also in Malaysia, Dubai, and Canada. But this IT company
is their new IT company in Bangladesh. They always try to maintain all the rules and
regulations inside of the office, that’s why it is always quite neat and clean. This company
provides launch and snacks for office staff. Its chairman is Aroty Halder, Managing Director
is Md. Nur Alam Mia and the Director is Moniruzzaman Talukder. [1] This company mainly

makes software for clients with their requirements, SEO, Social Media Marketing Content
Solution, Creative Solution, and VSMM. Those all things expends to grow national and
international clients business.

1.2. Objectives:
I did my internship at Unico IT Ltd., and this report consists of my whole experience there.
This report will present my internship experience as a reliable attestation. Then, it will
illustrate to my successor how I deal with problems and how I solved them, and what skills
are needed for solving those problems accordingly. Significantly, what tasks have given me,

 I accomplish all these things on time. But, sometimes I get stuck. After that, I took help from
seniors and they elucidated me very politely. This company has its own website. I had to
handle their website and collect all office staff and office informational data. Sometimes we
make the new websites as our clients requirements and we madt to under our instructor.

 ACTIVITIES

2.1 Work-Related:

I was recruited as an intern engineer then enrolled in the IT section of the company,
this company and ’s IT section is not very big and they deal with the security of digital things
of the company. They ensure the privacy of deals between clients and their organizations. My
workload was not too much, but sometimes it was higher than regular time. I had to maintain
their website sometime and sometimes implement some new functions on their website
which appear only on the higher official site and this is private. This site consists of all the
data regarding production and selling to the client and shipment also. Sometimes, they
assigned me to the accounts section in the first quarter of the month when salary was released
for employees. This time was so rushed so I had to go re to serve other employees as a help
during this period. Sometimes, I had to handle foreign clients whenever seniors were not
available. I was just showing a company-produced product and trying to convince them about
the quality of the product. Sometimes, there was a meeting that presided over the period
because of a lack of employees or unavoidable circumstances.

2.2 Organization-wide:

Unico IT Ltd. is a reputed company in Bangladesh. It is eminent for its top class quality
product which has a reputation around the world.
I was working in the IT department of this company. My position as an intern in the Head
office. This team's main purpose is to what is occurring in the factory, monitor everything
and notify the boss. I was working under Director and he sits here in the office. And he
monitored our activities from his room, for everything IT team is accountable to him and he
is to the Director.
Then, the accounts department is working under the IT department, all of the activities are
done on their own but each and everything is recorded in a digital database, after completing
each work they provide their data to the IT team after that IT team will publish it to the

company's private website. They are not only publishing it on the website, but they also
provide security from cyber threats and update the website regularly. Every employee
doesn’t have their own profile on the private website, only higher officials and some staff
hold the profile who are engaged with business deals. And they have every employee’s data.
They do not recalculate any employee’s data like attendance at the end of the month, because
everything is up to date every day. So, the accounting department can do their job easily from
the head office without hassle while they are calculating employees’ salaries.
There is a sales or marketing department who have done certain activities through the
website, like communication with clients, everything should be up to date in the website to
their personal profile at the end of the day. So, higher authority can monitor their activities
easily.
This IT department is small but it has done so many difficult jobs. As I have discussed, one
major and the toughest job of the IT team is surveillance of the whole factory and office by
closed circuit camera. There is a dedicated team who follows everything with the close-
circuit camera. The IT team is working on the maintenance of this equipment which is related
to the security of the factory and office. They also solve some small software problems of
automated machines.

2.3 Other relevant activities:

All in all, an internship is a crucial thing for all intern students. It has a great impact on their
career. During internship any intern student can do lots of things related to the career, on the
other hand, they are also aware of their lacking’s . After that they find the opportunity to
improve their skills appropriately which is very valuable to them. When any intern confronts
any problems they try to solve their own way, most of the time this is not an efficient way.
This same thing also happened with me, I tried to configure one close circuit camera but that
took lots of time which had an effect on my other work. After that, I took help from one
employee who gave me the solution and solved it within a few moments. Then I feel I have a
lack of interpersonal communication skills, that’s why I didn’t go to him first and ask for
help.
This company send a project on time around 91% which is very crucial for clients and they

give priority on time shipment. Their client’s are the world’s most prestigious brand in the
this sector.

 CONSTRAINTS/CHALLENGES
3.1 Identified/Observed in the Organization:

I faced a few problems there, as an intern, I may not have much professional experience in the field
of IT. This can make it challenging to perform tasks and projects assigned to me. It can also make it
difficult to keep up with more experienced colleagues, IT companies can be fast-paced and often
operate under tight deadlines. As an intern, I find it challenging to manage my time effectively and
prioritize tasks.
Communication is critical in IT companies, and as an intern, I encounter communication barriers due
to technical language and jargon. It can also be challenging to communicate effectively with
colleagues who have different communication styles or cultural backgrounds.IT companies often use
complex software and technologies that may be new to me. The learning curve can be steep, and it
can take time to become proficient in using these tools.

As an intern, I am not receiving feedback on my work as frequently as I would like. This can make it
difficult to know how well I am performing and how can I improve. As an intern, I feel pressure to
perform well and make a positive impression on my colleagues and superiors. This pressure can be
stressful and can make it challenging to focus on learning and improving.

3.2 Academic Preparation :

During the internship period, I improved my interpersonal communication skills, network engineering
skills, and software engineering skills. All these mentioned skills I had to apply during the internship
period. I knew that I lacked these kinds skills, but after joining I had passed a tough time. Because I
did lots of things there at a time. That job was very challenging; after a few days I was enjoying my
job. Every time I didn’t stick to the same thing, from time to time they assigned me some work, many
times I had to go outside to do the job. There was few works irrelevant with my academic preparation
like handle the workers and new worker recruitment this is one of the toughest job to me, during
interview period many time arise awkward situation because some people are illiterate and they think
I can give him a job but I didn’t give him for money and offer me some money for jobs, actually there
is some reason for not to selected one of them is they don’t have enough skill and this company is
well reputed company and they don’t want to recruit anyone don’t have any prior ideas minimal.

Some relevant work with my academic preparation like Networking course helped a lot. Several times
I have to configure the surveillance system cameras, so I have some prior ideas and rest of the things I
learned from my seniors who worked there. Then, I had to modify some portion or function of their
websites so I did that, and this time helped me a lot with web technology courses experience.

3.3 Personal/Professional Skills:

There were several courses that I had done which helped me a lot during my internship period. In the
recent year I had completed Operating system, Web technology, and Computer Network. During
these courses what knowledge I had gained, everything I tried I implemented during the internship
period. Sometimes, I get stuck and then I review my materials given by the course instructor and try
to understand those things again and practice on that topic. I always tried to utilize my knowledge in
the internship period. Sometimes I can’t have done my job in time, but I tried to do my job within
time. I always tried to be polite, veracious, and disciplined which helped me to overcome many
problems easily. End of the day, I can say with confidence that my knowledge and abilities have
improved after completing my internship.

 ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

4.1Consequences to Organization

There was some privilege which was provided by Unico IT Ltd. to me as an intern engineer in their
company. From the very beginning of my internship it was indispensable to have skills regarding my
job. After that, there were a lot of opportunities available in the company which helped to increase my
skills level. Most of the tasks were new for me, because when I was participating in the internship
period till that time I did not graduate, and I didn’t have any professional experiences related with my
responsibilities. Assigned task was difficult for me after joining there, but my supervisor was a very
cool guy who helped me a lot in all the tasks where I was stuck and tried to elucidate me thoroughly.
Now, I know those tasks were difficult but not impossible to achieve my goal. My supervisor in the
office was an honest, and helpful person, who always guided me during my whole period of
internship.
As a result, I learned how to deal with problems and how to work under pressure, then achieve the
goal. Another lesson I had learned, always should be cautious about my work and should have
alternative options for the same task.
I interacted with other engineers and officials professionally, and courteously during the internship
period.

4.2 Implications to University’s Internship Program

A university student acquires knowledge about professional life by internship period. Which plays a
significant role in his/her career. Some university curriculum didn’t include internship credit, but
AIUB has done it wisely, I think I am lucky in this case. Through the internship program I have
gained necessary skills and learnings. During the internship period the best thing to me was learning.
By this learning I was connecting everything with my academic learning and professional learning.
AIUB has several well organized internship programs for different departments. I belong to the
department of computer science. This department has organized and updated its all courses regularly,
which is relevant to the best organization in the world.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks, like before joining an internship we cannot gain
knowledge regarding internship during studentship. Maybe, there is a sort of solution, which helps

students, while they are in studentship. Before going to internship they have got some idea and
knowledge regarding the internship by implementing some non-credit short courses or webinars.
There can be another solution like, who have done their internship they can take a session –online or
offline- for the non-intern student and share their own experience and story. By this session, students
can gain knowledge about what they have to do and what not during their studentship.
Lastly, my internship gave me a professional taste for the first time. I have done lots of things during
this time, which will help me in the future I strongly believe and there is no doubt.

4.3 Effects on Personal/Professional Skills

Internship is building any individual's personal and professional skills rapidly during this sort of time.
It instigates them to learn new things accordingly and make them confident. And boosting efficiency
of work and skills.
Then, internship erects problem solving, analytical and planning ability. It also enhances technical
abilities significantly.
Furthermore, individuals can learn how to tackle a difficult condition in professional life and how to
deal with it. Some difficult things occurred in my time, I had tried to avoid them the first time, then I
realized I have already confronted difficulty, now I can’t go backward. So, I did hard work and tried
to solve problems in an efficient way, during this period I had taken help from others, that’s why I can
do some difficult jobs smoothly. I had found some potential inside me, during intern. Already talked
about how an internship increased my confidence level, thus I have got some freedom and flexibility.
Those things work as an influence to me and take me to develop myself every time which will always
keep me up to date.
There were some findings that I gained during my internship and those things were not present before
joining the internship significantly. My key successes occurred in my internship. Now I am going to
discuss it and those are all things from my own experiences.

 CONCLUDING STATEMENTS

5.1 Summary

This report illustrates thoroughly my professional experience at Unico IT Ltd. This company
is one of the best service providers to its clients. All the products they export to the foreign
renowned company. I have already discussed the most significant things about this
company. This company’s main strength is making Websites, Apps, Boosting, SEO service,
Maintain website,.
I am very thankful to both the Faculty of Science and Technology and Unico IT Ltd. who created a
great opportunity for me to do an internship. Alhamdulillah, I have effectively completed all of the
courses of the entire curriculum which is made for undergraduate programs of Computer Science and
Engineering students. FST has focused on student development appropriately and they are always
concerned about the trend of technology and quality education. Quality education ensures that the
good student goes into the industry. Now, my immediate workplace has given me an opportunity to
learn new things. I learned from them, like how to conduct myself with others professionally and how
to accomplish the agenda.
In this report, I try to analyze thoroughly my experiences as an intern engineer. I have learned an
enormous number of things during this period from the very beginning to the end. Hopefully, all the
things that I learn will be useful for me. During this whole period, I got instructions from my
supervisor and I did my job accordingly. Without his assistantship, I cannot have finished my
internship effectively.

5.2 Recommendations/Suggestions for Future Strategic Actions

I am aware that only three or four months are not efficient for learning or developing new skills. It
should be at least six months or more, I am telling this based on my personal experience. By three
months anyone can adapt themselves to these new technologies, but the efficient learning procedure
should be longer. University should come out of the trimester system, because this system has created
more pressure on the students than Bi semester. And a six month duration semester has plenty of time
to implement something.

5.2.1 Organization

Unico IT Ltd. Is one of the renowned IT companies in Bangladesh. This company has kudos for its
manufactured product around the world. The toughest job is organized inside of the Company every
day, workers hanker after the time and try to achieve the goal. From this sector, Bangladesh has
earned most of the foreign reserves. This company’s ambiance is very charming and they provide the
best amenity to their workers and staff. They also provide an annual bonuses, Performance gifts (Top
three), insurance, and attendance bonuses for their workers. Some social compliance practices in this
company like, the worker having flexible working hours, no forced labor, health and safe
environment. They ensure all these things strictly. Almost everything is alright, I think they should
implement pensions for the workers as well as staff. This will encourage them and they can
concentrate on their work more.

5.2.2 University

AIUB’s internship program has a great influence on students. Students can learn about their
responsibilities during their internships. AIUB always prepares its students before going into the
industry.

On the other hand, from my perspective, most of the students struggle to find an internship after being
stopped at university. For this reason, every semester AIUB can arrange some special workshops
related to internships and this will definitely help all of the students of AIUB.

5.2.3 Personal/Professional

All in all, I have learned and improved a lot of things while I was an internship. Such as soft skills,
speaking, writing, and promptness. Those are all things I have learned in my academic life but I relate
these with real life at my workspace. I became aware of the advantages and disadvantages of working
in a competitive workspace.
