 A case study involved forecasting the demand of the various spare parts of the L&T construction’s
and Mining Business.

 We were given the past data of 4 years for some spare parts and were required to forecast the
demand for future using various forecasting models.

 The various models used for forecasting is as follows:

 Autoregressive (AR ) Model
 Moving Average (MA) Model
 Autoregressive Moving Average ( ARMA ) Model
 Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA ) Model
 Exponential Smoothing

 The Various tools we used for analysis are Excel data Analysis Tool Pak, IBM SPSS Statistics software
for advanced statistical analysis.
